hook the output up to the to the cap bank, rule of thumb, 1 charger to 5 caps

these ones charge your cap bank faster. in your case you might want to look at the instructable to the side, same thing, but 2.5 or something, it has an indicator light

I dont think that using the taser on people is safe. It may have a smaller voltage but high current strength may easily kill someone.

is there a way to make the camera circuit be always charging when the battery is plugged?? (i mean, without pressing the little triangular button everytime you want to fire) i´ve made several coilguns but that has been my most annoying problem

ever use one of those supersoakers with the multiple jets of water? I have one that has a trigger that is actually comprised 3 individual switches.

Just have the first switch turn off and isolate the charging circuit, and the second fire the gun.

Its very important that you isolate the charging circuit from the rest of the system!

It's referred to as a coil gun I believe, but its output is 32 Joules. The only reason why it doesn't use all of that energy for shooting, is because most coilguns are under 1% efficient. Almost all of the energy goes into heating up the copper coils, which is unintended, though there have been some coilguns made that hit 5% efficiency, I believe the one on record is 21% efficiency, the most for any coilgun.

I'm not so sure thicker wire would change anything at lower voltages but more turns in your coil should increase the power to a certain extent. Also, I have found out that projectile placement makes a HUGE difference.(just in case you havent already messed with that)

seems to be working @ maximum potential with t40 joule bank

my old cap bank gave me a mighty shock when I shorted it into my finger, left me with a nasty burn and a shaking body =P

those 160 uF caps are not to be messed with,m they WILL win.

although it was very unexpected that the nails actually spot welded to the bolt! powerful indeed!
