  • He failed to answer the question but made some very good points. Whether there is or is not an absolute morality, I think that figuring out what is 'moral' should be done rationally using logic and not irrationally through mindless dogma.

  • @aMidnightBreeze If Dawkins is so sure of his own beliefs why doesn't he go to Muslims in Saudi Arabia and tell them what he just said in this video? the more you know...

  • @BTC141 I don't see the relation this has to my comment and I'm not totally sure what your point is. Would you clarify it for me please?

  • @aMidnightBreeze I suppose absolute morality relates entirely to what a person believes. belief in one morality will cause friction to a separate set of morality. the more you know...

  • @RileyMeldenberger I agree that differing beliefs about morality will result in friction. I disagree that absolute morality relates to what a person believes. Many people will have beliefs on what is absolutely moral, but there can only be one correct absolute morality, if there is such a thing at all.

  • the bad thing about religion is that people who believe it will spread their beliefs though athiests never do this :( though id still be pissed if an athiest version of a jehovas witness came a nocking on my door :p

  • @riskingeuphoria there are an atheist door knocking equivalent of jo hos, I think they are called "believers for intelligent design society" and they call themselves brights. alot of brights walk around with black eyes.

  • @BTC141 makes sense, id be scared as fuck to do that around the bible belt, but also i meant tho didnt say , people saved whom pray publisise this though those whom arnt dont, with 45% of america creationist if they all pray and 1 is saved during new orleans flood then the ones whom prayed are publisised.

  • @riskingeuphoria You have a point there.

  • I'm all for Dawkins but he couldn't have answered this question worse...

  • @OctavioRedding What do you think would have been a better answer?

  • Comment removed

  • I don't want absolute morality... I am fine with a functional morality that is well thought out, reasoned, argued, discussed and based upon, ahem, 'intelligent design'... Such morality is more sensible than the sum of all dictates in bilble, koran, torah et al...

  • Wow. A good question and an amazing answer.

  • @MrDylaneric no. it was a stupid question that didnt even deserve an amazing answer like that.

  • Dawkins is such a wonderful purveyor of common sense.
