  • These fish were caught around the area of Palmetto (826) and SW 8th St. (Tamiami Trail) in the canals. Put your boat in anywhere you can find a ramp. Do a google search and you'll find the water easily.

  • The only decent ramps are at Maceo park on SW 7th...there is also a single ramp that is o.k. on snapper creek.

  • those fish were caught with a small live shiner on a freeline rig. #4 Mustad hook and a small splitshot clipped 6- 10 inches above the hook. Try it out.

  • great video......ill be out thier this weekend..........are they still on thier beds or they done with spawning i know they spawn twice a year..i was at snake creek this weekend caught 14 one 4 pounder....

  • correct some fish spawn 2 times a year. I have seen some still on the beds so you should be able to sight fish a few. good luck!
