These people are the opinion formers who influence their governments. This can happen because we live in a democracy.

What the protestors are doing is using the torch relay as a public podium to draw attention to their cause. Public protest stirrs the pot and draws attention. If the Chinese are going to use the relay as a way to promote their economic powers then protestors should have the right to speak out too! How obnoxious must that government be to try and scale Mt.
