@lakewoodil No. The project was stopped after the crash of one prototype. There was no design flaw, the cause was just, that the socialist party wanted the crew to perform a propaganda flight before it was ready for it. The project wasn't stopped because of this accident, but because it was too expensive for East Germany and because the socialist countries made a new decision: Small aircraft (turboprop) from Czechoslovakia, piston aircraft from poland, airliners from 50 seats and more from USSR.

@Tillerman56 I think the one fuselage hulk is in Dresden, awaiting restoration, not positive.
