Hi, I bought a Concorde 2 and when I go to tune the SWR, the needle jumps back and forth after the mic is depressed on an external meter. I try to adjust the CAL on the external meter but the needle still jumps around. I have tested the cables and antenna. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Sean.
Concorde multi-mode Mk1, original mic, K40 speech processor mic, K40 mag-mount, LA-120 linear amplifier with in-built rx pre-amp, HFC-01 counter, hs-100 10A P.S.U, 1Kw low pass filter, lightning arrestor, TWO long RG58 cables with pl259's, pl259-R.C.A. for counter. The tranceiver has its original BOX AND WARRANTY ! The k40 mic is in its original box. The linear has its box. This uses a PTBM059 chassis.....
@SWIZZRADIOS : Hello ! I'm not 100% sure the difference, (apart from the obvious fact the chassis is different) !
The chassis in my transceiver is a PTBM059COX chassis. I haven't looked at the spec for a MK2 yet ! If I remember rightly though, I think the front panel is a slightly different layout.

@SWIZZRADIOS ; OOOPS !!! Duh ! YOUR rig on this vid is a MK2 !!!...lol....ooops....and yes, it is a different layout ! As far as I know it uses a PLL02A and has a crystal filter so I'm unsure what the difference is apart from coverage !
I think, the PTBM059 is bether in the S/N characteristic, than the PTBM121/125 and others. In the RX path, I 'm missing the big 10.7 Mc X-tal filter. The AM/FM RX, is very noisy.

Hello my friend. My first ever multi mode cb radio (1982) was a SUPER STAR 360FM (PB010). But the receiver was very weak and the S-Meter had also weak S-levels. Oh no.....
Great radio. Great video. Thanks.

Hello dr CB fan. Open the box and clean the SWR-CAL-pot & the SWR/CAL/RF-switch with WD40-spray. Then it will be OK...Best 73's...

Of course, but the Concorde3 is a very noisy box, because the X-tal filter 10.7Mc, is just made for SSB.Hi Hi.
