The Germans only got to 1:08 where they had to flee over the Swedish borders, making Norway the first victorious country against Germany. But sadly just days later Vidkun Quisling came to power and announced to the uninformed Norwegians that we had to surrender because it were the best for the country.
He is known as the biggest traitor ever in Norwegian history
Something very funny happend when the germans attacked with naval, in norway. There was a norwegian general that had some cannons, and he said "ILD" (FIRE: in english) But the soldiers didn't want to, because they thought it might be swedish boats, but he didn't care if it was swedish or germans, he had waited 20 years to fire thoose cannons, and he won't let this chance slip. (And it was germans, it was a great german battlecrusier as far as I know) xD :D Norge FTW! Norway FTW!
@TheMetalfreak360 Acually, just a few days after the norwegian knew they were gonna get attacked - the norwegian goverment fled to england, along with the "king" .. as some norwegians like to call the people living in their royal castle.
The fact is that none of the norwegian "soldiers" dared to fire their guns at the germans, beacuse they was afraid to die.
The low countries dont have any cultural pride, or selfasteem ... or anything else worth sacrifising your life for.
@kanistor22 Idd they did flee to England, but the soldiers did fight to the very last men, but they didn't made any big diffrence since they wern't really ready to get attacked in around 1940's, but now we have a better defense and one of the best special forces there is in the whole world, and under the war, every norwegian person hated the germans, and they hid soldiers and jews in their basement. And we did much damage to the germans while they were here, plus we destroyed the V2 facility.

@TheMetalfreak360 no no no, your wrong, metal.
They did not fight to the last man at all.
The fact is that norway is a non-military country by tradision - guns, tanks, war, is such a distant consept for the norwegians.
I do respect the norwegians who voloteered for the battle of Finland - they fought great.
But the battle for norway, was basicly just a 2 days peacefull drive up to Oslo for the germans.
How do i know all this, beacuse i am a norwegian too XD
