I saw Mr. DeGaetano last night at Steinway in Coral Gables, Fl. He played Barber's sonata in Eflat Op. 26 Mvts 1-4 and he was incredible. Very lucky to have heard him play.
I was at this concert. Like the ovation after this piece, he received 4 others in the MIDDLE of the concert! In addition to wowing us with his brilliant technique, his playing often moved us to tears. Truly extraordinary the way he connects with his audience. I will never, ever forget it!
