I met Jean Chretien last Sunday in the airport in Toronto!!! I was SO excited! No one around him. he had his boarding pass, etc. no line up. I HAD to engage!!!! He was SO polite, asked me where I was from, going, etc... I didn't want to be so bold, as to ask him the same questions. I was just delighted, that he was happy to meet a fellow Canadian!!!

Jean Chretien was truly one of our finest Prime Ministers. He came to Ottawa just before Pierre Trudeau and served under Lester Pearson and PET before becoming leader of the LPC in 1990. I wish he was still leader and we'd still have a Liberal government.
