They started doing that toward the end of the Combs run. It means all similar answers were included in the point value. For example, if the contestant said "carrots," a * beside the poiont value would mean all vegetables were included.
Why would anyone want room temperature at 78 degrees? I've lived in Canada, Michigan, and Upstate New York, and I like 60-65. :/

...actually, if I remember correctly, those between ages of 06 and 20 HAVE been on the show before.
And no bad spin-offs. Wheel 2000 and Jep! were enough.
