Well i wouldent say its better then Jon English just a different version..

I love how the whole band is just so in time and the vocals are spot on, this is one damn good cover of a great song.

Oh and Anne Marie, apart from being stunningly beautifull damn she can sing!!

NEVER! tune your hearing aid. although the guy can sing this song he does lack the passion and emotion of a truly great performance JE. just listen to the amazing timbres in Jon English's voice and realise the immense talent. He didnt sing in War Of The Worlds for nothing! now Green Carnation?. this is live. im sure if in the studio with me they would find the correct emotion. this vocal is soft cocked, withdrawn, no projection. could be better.

yes soibeer... the main vocal in War Of The Worlds was Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy, but Jon English did a track on the double album. i think it was called 'No Nathaniel'. been a long time but yeah Jon English sang on that production and was considered one of the great voices of his time. he's a top guy too. ive worked with him a few times and every one an absolute pleasure. Phil Lynott rocks big time too.

yeah i think you're right. its got me beat. i wish i could find the album coz i thought jon english had some vocal part in it somewhere but im probably wrong. yeah phil lynott is a main character. i cant remember much more. sheez i just remember david essex is in it too. i guess it just goes to show how much stuffs happened in the last 30+ years.

what a time... the 70's where a simple track like 'hold me close' could make it. david essex was over rated but the fans loved him. his acting is average too but he's alot more successful than me so i gotta give him credit for that. even though his acting was boring i did like the movies he was in.

this Green Carnation version of Six Ribbons is ok. Anne Marie's vocals are so sweet i just wish the guy sang it a little stronger.

Finally found this song after years of searching! Loved the serie /Against The Wind as child and have remembered this song since...but couldnt remember what the serie was called. So now several years later i have to thank my collegue for the info. I LOVE Green Carnation´s cover of this awsome song! It bring me memories back and make me feel so good. Thank you!
