Try to hunt an old park. And before you go bury the coins that you want to find. (the silver ones). And test your detector on those. Turn the discrimination just below the smallest silver coin you want to find. And listen for the short beeps. If it sounds long than it's probably bigger like a tin can.

Hello, I probably wont get a reply to this comment, but i'll try anyways. I'm using a Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter 2 and am having real trouble finding a nice coin. I live in Canada, and all i have been able find is a fuckload of trash, some 1980's pennies, and a 1963 nickel. Does anyone have any tips that could help me find the good stuff?

i posted a videoresponse about illicit antiquities market.illegaly dug up artefacts are sold at sothebys,christies,bonhams etc. there is no way the offered artefacts come from legal archaeological excavations because these artefacts are send to museums.

my uncle bought a coin purse for 1896 on ebay, and when looked in it, the was a 1911 canadian nickel, and a 1757 coin. he hasnt taken it to get it valued or to see what is is even is yet.

Actually the 250 hates water. Ide choose whites prizm II over the 250 any day. Its water proof and cheaper. Opinions...

99% of finds are "stolen" since they belong to the property owner on whose property they are found on, but unless it is of great value no one cares :)
