terrible play....therefore u must lose money....so why bother posting strategy videos if you constantly have to hit deposit???? u werent beating his entire range also...set or flop'ed bottom 2 can be the case there with his bet and 3 ppl behind...rare but not rule outable for the record...the gus hansen references are hilarious....1 bit of advice stop investing in holdem manager and start with learning some ABC poker..... or just A
It's an automatic shove preflop with 12.5BB, seems like your program didn't tell you that lol. Limping preflop is just...bad.
Granted you might get called by Ax hands and be in a 60/40 dog, having only 50/50 against any pair, but you'll only hit your pair 30% and even then it's possible there is also an ace out. So even without facturing in any fold equity shoving is just better.
u won the hand...but ur also extremely lucky - u got a fishy with a lot of chips to lead out ... then call ur raise...ANDDDD last but not least - he didn't spike his 4 to win. LUCKY LUCKY. tournies and cash games alike ... the luck factor is very very difficult to overcome without phenomenal bankroll management
A min raise isn't a dumb move there. He's forcing a short stack to put in another bet, which hurts the short stack much more than the big stack. Now what's the guy with the KQ going to do if he misses the flop?
This just shows why tournaments and cash games are worlds apart.
i agree, jeff. Software isn't needed to read this hand. Big stack forces small stack to pay to play. He hits 2nd highest pair and puts out a feeler bet to see if it's good..Now, like you said, a short stack doesn't have as much room for error on the flop so if he has nothing he folds, or takes a stab at the pot out of desperation. The bigger stack has to figure out if this all-in is a desperation move or if the small really has paired a Q. In this case, small got lucky at the right time.
well he is better than hellmuth at playing great players. He makes too many complicated moves in some tournaments, but then again it's that mentality that makes him good.
fuck you

i hate any software or sites that give you a players statistics..its cheating to a degree..you should feel out an opponent yourself
andybananas1 3 years ago 2
i hate it aswell, but thats also because I don't have it and it is unfair that other people do.
rwtig 3 years ago 10

Very great example of how to play those kinds of hands. One of those in a 1 table gets you to the money.
