I think you're right. I respect maino but I think he's a little threaten by jay z. This is the 2nd time I heard him make a comment saying he should retire. I disagree, if you're an artist you're an artist. Who says artists from the past can't make new music, especially if they're getting better with it? And I'm NOT even a jay-z fan. If manio is (really) confident in what he's doing it won't matter what jay-z or any other artist is doing. ALL artists should do thier thing.

When people bring up the past regarding music, I think they mean the quality isn't as good. Artist use to be more creative and tried to be different. If anybody turns on the radio or tv they'll see that alot if not most of the music and videos sound and look the same. The record labels are scared to take chances so they push what they feel are SURE things. And they pay the radio stations to play the same songs over and over. And a lot of hungry artist do what they see trying to get on.
