  • Thanks for such a clear and concise demonstration :) Made it look so simple!

  • this video was so helpful and clear, I could see the stitching very clearly as opposed to other videos where the person's hands were in the way!

  • As a beginner I just made my first throw pillows and needed to finish with this stitch..my book was confusing but you made this very easy to understand , I finished them easily!! Awesome!! thank you so much!

  • this helped me for my textiles assingment

  • Excellent video. Thank you!

  • Fantastic. Thank you!

  • A good Youtube instructional takes three things: 1. know-how 2. ability to explain 3. mindfulness of how things will look and sound on the screen. Most sewing tutorials on youtube feature people with only the first and maybe the second skill. --You have all three, making for an exceptionally polished and helpful video. The camera focus and sound quality is great and seeing your face in the intro and end is a nice personal touch. Real television quality!

  • Dawn,

Thank you so much for this series of handstiches. This has been very helpful.

It would be fabulous if you would provide more hand sewing videos! Particularly, tension. Ack! (Is that the appropriate term?) I have difficulty with using and/or choosing how much to use. I find I end up with puckering if I sew too tightly, but loose, uneven (ugly!) stitching if not enough. What's a sewist to do? ;^)
