  • try arcadecup for the KI board he repairs them

  • the ultimate tweeeker!!!!!!! meth rules!!

  • Awesome pickups buddy

  • You are living my dream my friend, excellent video as always.

  • CRAP EVERYWHERE.... I love it ;) That KI "ROM" is a Compact Flash card on a CF to IDE adapter! Cool.

  • You're such a monster, Luke.

  • @lukemorse1 I love the Kaneko Super Nova board as well as the Jaleco MEGA SYSTEM 32 boards, but I wish they didn't make any puzzle games for those boards. I wished that they made A LOT MORE of their own fighting games, beat'em-ups, and SHMUPS for those 2 boards.

Now that you have a MEGA SYSTEM 32 board, keep an eye out for "Second Earth Gratia". That one in my eyes, is considered the best game Jaleco has ever made.

  • Just for curiosity: What happens if you insert the tekken4 arcade dvd and the namco memory card in a ps2?

  • Even if you find the chip, looks like it would be a pain to put on since its soldered onto the pcb.

  • cool!

  • CompactFlash! :)

  • WOW, I didn't know Jaleco made a system.....I always learn something new from your videos Luke! Great job bringing the obscure to light. Make video game collecting interesting. I hope you find that KI CPU, I'll keep my eyes open for you....well at least you have Florida covered:)

  • @willgraham13 They did- Jaleco made 2 arcade systems. One system is the MEGA SYSTEM 16, and the MEGA SYSTEM 32.

  • ha ha !

  • Luke, why must you continue to make us all jealous of all of your awsome finds!

  • @moomert1 because hes the almighty luke!

  • Hey Luke, you need to invest in a hot air rework station dude. It would make removing and resoldering that CPU a lot less scary. I'm sure you can pick one up in Japan, there are lots of cheap ones on eBay. I find its the best bit of kit for repairing more modern arcade boards with SMD components. I've got a few tutorials on my channel showing how to use one, its easy peasy. Keep the vids coming!

  • i was thinking luke why don't you try building a supergun for the neogeo mvs that i would really dig ....gals panic is a supper ecchi game but very addicting ...pgm igs carts like like the neogeo mvs carts....try finding martial masters that a good one...remote control lights cool

  • Damn, what a video. So many interesting boards/boxes! Kudos as always.

    -Alec

  • checked on the internet and 246 system has almost the same chips as the PS2.

  • Gals panic 4

    NICE!!!

  • BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

    Another interesting video! :)

  • Awesome pick ups man!!!

  • Awesome pick ups man! That's awesome that you got Oriental Legend and the Gladiator! I know you'll love Oriental Legend, and the Gladiator might be the best beat 'em up on the PGM!

  • Great stuff!

  • Good ol' MIPS R4600 CPU. How do you know the CPU was bad? Those KI boards are extremely fragile.

  • @robivy64 When I got the board there was nothing but off set lines on the screen and the one tone came on. Normally these KI boards are supposed to have a heat sink on them to prevent the cpu from overheating but this one didnt. because there is nothing physically holding the cpu to the board Im guessing from heat it lifted off or whoever took the heat sink off pulled some of the legs up. I went around the legs trying to reflow the solder and got it to go to a blue screen but after that nothing.

  • @lukemorse1 its too bad CPU's are not inner changeable. like if there was a similar board to switch from. But I do hope you find that chip to replace it with.

  • Ah, crap! Disregard this comment; the part I found is in a different package than the one on your Killer Instinct board and will not fit.

  • The 246 at the end (tekken4) is a _monster_...

If only we could have finds like that UK

  • @lukemorse1 hey been watching you for quite some time why don't you do this full time? Or have your own arcade location? With all that in a warehouse put away sounds like you could pay for your hobby by letting others play your games in a arcade. Just curious btw love ur vids man keep up the great work

  • So you're the one who bid on those PGM carts on Yahoo

  • So the CPU fried because there was no heatsink on it. Finding a replacement is going to be tricky...

  • hey luke so basically the 246 is a ps2?

  • Comment removed

  • I know you live here in Japan, but... are you using your skills with electronics or are you just teaching english? Seems like a wasted talent to know what you know about electronics and then just do a brain dead job like english teaching.

  • Hopefully you get that chip, man. :( I remember them being harder than hell to find now-a-days, but. I'm sure someone will be nice enough to salvage something from an old mobo :P

  • Niiiiiiiiice!!! I really want an arcade cab one day, or even a Jamma board! ><

The drive you keep forgetting looks like a Compact Flash :P, anyway Luke, AWESOME, AWESOME VIDEO as always.. My mouth dropped when I saw you fixed the 256/246 like wow cleaver thinking dude!! Good repairs can't wait when you put it all back together again, it's surely something a gamer needs in his/hers collection!

This is my new channel so you might not know who this is. I'm TeamXR07.. This is my gaming channel ^_^

  • Hey dude, I think I've posted this before, but it probably got buried.. I think it'd be really entertaining if you shot some video of your "first attempts" at turning new games on. And also your "attempts" when you have tweaked and worked on them. It'd be cool to see the process actually happen, and hear your excitement first-hand when you finally get them to work. Plus then you wouldn't have to explain what it's doing, we'll be able to see it :) I think that'd be cool. Somethin to think about!

  • Hey Luke, I just messaged you some wholesalers that carry the microprocessor used on the Killer Instinct board. Hope it helps in some way. Cheers

  • Ask Jason the emureview he is a K I nutt

  • Luke, at around 03:25 on your King of Fighters 2003 arcade board, you can see a kind of big radial cap that has been bent way out of shape, you should replace it!

  • Great pick ups Luke! I also have The Gladiator and Oriental Legend. Both excellent beat 'em ups. Would be cool if you connected two of your cabs with the link cable for some 4 player PGM action. Don't know if you've tried it yet but I think you would love the Jaleco Mega System 32 game 'P-47 Aces'. I seem to remember you really like Zed Blade by the same developer.

  • Awesome Luke ! Great to see you dabbling with the arcade stuff again mate. Damn that 246 is a noisy bitch ! LOL

  • If you could find another killer instinct board such as a KI2 board broken you can use the same CPU I heard.

  • Seeing your videos really gives me hope on fixing my Korean arcade game sitting in my garage right now. It must be pretty awesome to have a Namco 246 board as well, its runs many games, and it would be pretty damn awesome to play Taiko No Tatsujin on that :D Unlike Konami's Python II board which uses actual dongles, the 246 looks like it could be very easy to run copied games/data on just because of the memory cards being used for security and other data.

  • Great stuff Luke as always !!!

  • compact flash card

  • U13 is a sex machine. [ :::::::: ]

I am posting you out a bunch more LYNX games today or tomorrow.

  • damn bro thats some serious pickup action going on haha

congrats on getting that system 246 going, tekken 4 is great and having the arcade version is even better haha those pgm games sound killer also. great video

  • Cool stuff Luke!

Hope you can find a replacement for that chip. When you do, do show us how that progresses and if you can get the board up and running again :).

Tetris Plus is one of my favorite Tetris versions, awesome game. Wouldn't mind seeing you showing off that board sometime with some gameplay ;).

Great pickups man, it's always amazing to see what wonderful stuff you managed to score!

  • @HalfBlindGamer SEB!!! Holy hell bro, great to hear from you! I was wondering how you have been. Ill throw up some game play of tetris plus for sure, just need to charge the ol camera again. Really awesome hearing from you again Seb and thanks for checkin out the vid.

  • @lukemorse1 Haha, sounds awesome man, will be looking forward to that gameplay vid :).

Been a bit out of it lately and just had to take a break from the tubes for a bit. Slowly getting it back together again and will start producing stuff shortly again :)

Always a pleasure to see your vids Luke, keep it up!

  • That stuff looked even nicer dude.

  • @superman1234393 thanks dude

  • I don't know how you do it but every video you post is always super exciting to watch! I always have something bad ass to look forward to :) Thanks LM1.

  • @JillpooThree I think the same can be said about you bro. You have a lot of awesome vids and you need to make a new one by the end of the week dammit! lol.

Thanks for checkin as always there JP....not Jurassic Park :P

  • oh well, you need the main cpu for that KI board? i guess that´s gotta be hard to find =/ but i really enjoyed that arcade stuff video luke =) especially that namco 246 system, great job on reparing that beast =D

  • @MetalTiger88 Yeah, I need that main cpu for sure. thanks a lot for checking as always bro, Im glad I got that 246 running as well :)

  • Luke, not that it really matters, but the card you have Killer Instinct on is called "Compact Flash" or CF cards.....just letting you know

  • @DvdXploitr LOL, thanks a lot man, yeah, I dont know why but every video I make trying to say compact flash I just forget about it XD

  • Really cool stuff! =D

You're right indeed, those PGM games are near enough impossible to find

    Dan.

  • @DansGameCorner For sure man, they are very difficult to find so I try to scoop them up when I can. Thanks as always.

  • Dude that's awesome you got a KI board Luke. Hopefully you can get that CPU working ok. I recommend going to KLOV com and go on their forums. They'll be able to help you find a replacement bro. Looking forward to you hooking up Tetris up for the Jaleco. Do they have Bases Loaded by chance? I know you said they had a lot of puzzle games, but that'd be awesome if they did have that. Good stuff bro.

  • @Gamester81 Thanks John, Im not a member of KLOV and I would feel like a bit of a jerk just going over there and asking `Hey, any of you guys know....` but I appreciate the idea bro. I can do a vid on that Tetris board, no problem :) not sure if there is a bases loaded or not at all but it would be cool for sure. Thanks as always bro

  • Wow you are an amazing human being. Fixing that drive the way you did.. You sir are Super Lu-ké

  • @porjay Lol, thanks bro, I hate not being able to get something working so I sometimes go the McGyver route ;)

  • too bad you cant download and play igs games on xbla or psn like you can with the snk games that would be awesome

  • killer instict omggggggggg

  • Good luck with your projects Luke, I like watching your repair and arcade pcb videos. Keep up the good work buddy.

  • @82memo82 Thanks a lot man, Ill see what I can do. Hopefully I can get something working here in the future for sure.

  • Gals panic huh luke you naughty boy jk ! I've heard of it think qix but you uncover pics of girls.
