  • Sometimes when I make this soup it doesn't come out thick. Other times it comes out alright. I don't know why that is. I pre-mix the cornstarch with water, and I slowly add the egg at the end. I really don't know why it doesn't go thick sometimes.

  • one thing; you said that a person can tell when chicken is cooked when it's white. You probably should have said that the chicken is cooked when it is white *all the way through*. The best way to check is to take a piece out and chop it in half. The outside of chicken will go white almost immediately if you drop it in hot broth. I'm sure this is obvious for most people. but there are some people who might not realise and could end up with chicken, creamed corn and salmonella soup!
