I love Hilary, and have been a big fan since... forever, but I've lost quite a bit of respect for her on this. Regardless of how much of the book she wrote, there was a co writer who's name didn't appear anywhere on the cover. If she wanted to be taken seriously as an author, she should have either not used a co writer, or fully recognized her for her contributions. I feel like she skipped the hard part of writing because she's famous, and that doesn't bode well with me as an aspiring writer.

This is a joke. She used a GHOST WRITER. I read the book and it was crap and simplistic. She only got published because she's famous. They are better writers out there. Furthermore, her heroine's a paparazzi target for being the daughter of a U.S. Senator. It's not realistic.

i adore hilary, but i think she wouldve needed MUCH more time to write this book, and, what with her recent wedding planning and LOTS of filming for 2009-2010/upcoming films, i just dont believe that she wrote the entire book herself. i DO believe, however, that she created the main plot and ideas for it. but i LUURRRRRRRVVVVVVVEEEEEEEE♥♥♥♥<­3<3<3 hilary and i will most definitely buy this book. =]

I think her book will be a good one. Since she's a good songwriter, she has the tools it takes to write a book. It is unlikely that she used a ghostwriter. Unlike Lauren Conrad, who has no writing talent whatsoever and published L.A. Candy just for the heck of it.

I'm definitely gonna read that. Not so sure about who wrote "Gypsy Woman" but whoever did it is a talented writer. If that's NOT Hilary then her ghostwriters were always good, but idk somehow I think that's her. Many of her interviews are very logical and eloquent, they are must read, at least most of them. I'm not gonna be surprised if that Elixir book turns out to be a genius kind of thing.

She's a very honest individual, I think she would be a good author. Reason being is that when you immerse yourself into the industry, you see what goes on in the playwriting atmosphere and you are reading and contributing so often that it becomes second nature.

Um, i know you should never judge a book by it's cover or title, but seriously, when you think of the title Elixir, you think about fantasy and magic... It sounds like a great story, but i think Hilary needs a different title. But that's just my opinion.

Now that I've graduated college, I have a bit more free time, and I'm all about book series these days; there's a bit to catch up on.
