The kind of horrible and tawdry experiences you can witness in your childhood (like that business with his parents) can motivate you to accomplish tremendous things. I'm not trying to say that it's a good thing to be profoundly disturbed as a child, just that trauma can mould character and he is clearly an exceptional and healthy individual now.
After reading the biography of Cecil Rhodes in Wiki, I do wonder how one can be a "human rights" activist and a Rhodes Scholar at the same time. Cecil Rhodes, according to Wiki, did not speak well of peoples of color, using the "n.." word copiously. It seems such a contradiction, being a Rhodes Scholar and a human rights activist. I've made some African and African American scholars who've declined the "honor." .
@DOUCHEBAG... you truly represent your name. Are you for real? This young man entered Bard College at 11 years old and Yale Law School at the age of 16. His life has only just begun.Shut your ignorant mouth and listen for once in your miserable life. This young man will far exceed his parents.
@tomkes100douchebag -- you are well named. I couldn't care less who his parents are. I was never a fan of either. You want to know what he has accomplished in his mere 23 years??? How about undergraduate and law degrees from prestigious universities? How about a job as an advisor to the U.S. Secretary of State? How about his Rhodes scholarship? How about his demonstrated verbal acuity and poise?
What have YOU accomplished aside from spewing hate and scorn? If you have done anything worthwhil
I can still recall Mia Farrows suffering when she was betrayed by not only her husband but her adopted daughter as they moved in their little love nest together. Ronan more than makes up for the hurt and shame Mia went thru. Good job, ms mia farrow! He's an amazing young man.
Let's make this guy actually do something before all you desperate idol worshipers turn him into one purely on the basis of who his parents are. America is full of young folks like this, and you are very happy to ignore them while you suck the asses of celebrities. Shame on you dumbass sheep!
I can't imagine being that at ease in front of the UN, and I'm twice his age. It gives me hope to see youth, like this extraordinary young man, who are eager to lead us out of this age of mediocrity.
Ronan Farrow is an amazing young man, who graduated from college at 15. Farrow, 23, graduated from Yale Law School and works as a State Department special adviser on global youth issues. His Farrow genes show. You make Mia proud Ronan. We wish you the best, have a wonderful life.
This guy is pretty much my age, but makes me feel inadequate, lol. To the assholes criticizing him for being nervous, how about you all try speaking to a room full of the representatives of every country on earth? Oh wait, you can't, because you haven't earned the right to speak in a forum higher than a youtube comments section.
fuck you. You just downsized yourself by saying you feel inadequate that some young millionaire's son is speaking to a bunch of goddamn leaders that went home after Ronan's speech and killed oppositions to their effing political agenda. How sweet.
@dek5704 Hear, hear! He is doing a great job. Hell, I am 54 and I would a nervous wreck. It is true that his presentation is not polished -- he is moving too much -- but that may come from his father! And that kind of thing can be remedied in one month of help from some experts.
Plus of which the guy looks as good as Leo DiCaprio.

@paxdeorum100 Blow it out your ass. Priviledge goes to priviledge. Let this guy actually accomplish something for folks outside himself before you suck his ass. That's why you idol worshipers always "enjoy" shit blowback.

Does Woody ever talk about Ronan? He always mentions his 2 kids (the ones with Soon Yi) but he doesn't seem to acknowledge that he has this one.

Wow... what an impressive young man. He's got an impressive future ahead of him. I never knew his parents had kids, much less a genius.
