This isn't really that in depth,, your life is in the present moment, not focused on where your going. If you live in the world of your future then are you really enjoying this moment??? Check out Osho or Sadhguru...Your totality is in the present moment which isn't of the mind. That is true contentment and appreciation. This moment is enough.
@Sonkhelwi if they believe that they are not suppose to eat meat(are meant to be vegan) then they should follow that diet. if everybody became vegan then there still would not be an overstock of cows and animals because we would create cattle farms and other animal farms.
No of course not! Personally I believe this: As much as possible; enjoy the happy memories of the past, the happy things & positive aspects about the present & look forward to the happy things to look forward to about the future! It also depends how your present is. Some things about my present are FANTASTIC. Other things about it SUCK. But it's temporary! Because as good as it is, even better things are on the way. But yes DO find good things in the now & past too!
@believeinfidelity If you read the book Stepping out of Self Deception by Rodney Smith, or the book Unlearning Meditation by Jason Smith you will understand what Esther Hicks means by moving forward into the future with positive expectation. The present moment is essential in this process, because we learn to lean into it the way it is without resistance, and then from there you move forward towards that what you wish for.

I don't get this message. So we are to project into the future and disregard the present as a place where we can be happy?
