Stephen James plays Raga Behag on Sarod

Yes I had the good fortune to be able to play ( tabla) with Steve in 1984 and he was an exceptional musician also very good on guitar and violin - RIP Steve gone but never forgotten & well done the Calcutta Trio for your endeavour & study of your instruments.

I heard him play several years ago with Anindo Chaterjee.

After the concert Anindo said Stevens Layakari was very very complex and he was a tabla players musician.

His teacher Vasant Rai was probably the best sarod player of modern times

Beautiful version of a beautiful Raag, but why didn't you upload the whole theme with the alaap included??? I beg this great musician played a very nice alaap before this gat began. If anybody has some alaap in Raag Bihag, please upload it... Thanks a lot
