Archie Bunker's Place was actually just as good as All In The Family, albeit in a different way. It really showed the metamorphosis of Archie Bunker, but moreover, how he is able to face life alone without Edith, Gloria and Mike. His supporting cast was excellent, and that helped add to the quality of the show.
Yeah I agree. But even so things just weren't the same. It was a different atmosphere and a different feeling. I thought I was sad actually that he just lived without Edith or even Gloria or the Meathead.
It's a bitch turning 60 remembering how much I loved this series in the 70s! Recently revisited and saw the passing of Edith and the end....Those were the days!!
Archie Bunker & George Jefferson were both Mets fans in the classic "All In the Family" shows. Probably explaining the scene of the Queensboro Bridge in the end credits.
We all do. Every station now just shows the same old crap from the last 15 years that sucked when it was new and sucks now and stupid companies like Sony just give up and stop releasing classic shows. We are over four years now since any AITF, ABP, and The Jeffersons. 3 years and counting on Maude. Pathetic.
@storrs19 all in the family is still on tvland. but the other shows that you mention aren't. there needs to be a facebook petition to bring these shows back. that is how betty white hosted saturday night live
Male Announcer:Stay With Channel 51 For Classic Comedy With Jackie Gleason And Art Carney The Honeymooners Saturday And Sunday At 11PM Here On San Diego's KUSI-TV Channel 51.
See kids - back then women, jew, and blacks knew their place, and were happy to stay in it. OMG there is no way anyone could take me seriously on that is there?
@elasatlaculos I think we just found the next person to play Archie if that's ever revived. You just did a great Archie impression, I say All in the Family be relaunched!
Love how they retooled the AITF theme and jazzed it up a lil !

This isnt fair use at all. YOU consider it fair use. Wrong. You don't own the copyrights. You've been reported.

Oooooh - you "reported" him. Really worked well, didn't it?
Try to be less of a loser. I know it's difficult for you, but you might actually make a friend or two if you do. Repeat: try to be less of a loser.

The San Diego stations are notorious for cutting the closing credits on non-network programs.

The Chicago stations are like that too.
