@awh2109 had read an article claiming that you have to watch it to understand it's punch but as far as I can gather, its just a clever story which can be interpreted in many ways depending on the assumptions you place with it
Sorry for the bit of Schitzophrenia, it took forever to get the confirmation e-mail for this account so I signed up again under the "seamuslopez" moniker too.
We both agree that your video is brilliant, though.
Ah, man, a Brautigan fan! I'd love to do Babylon, but that's a full-length picture; not something I can put together in an afternoon for YouTube. But Thank You!
The only things I would have changed are the gun graphic (both the Into and Closing) which shows a Colt Model 1911 (.45). The story specifically mentions a "revolver" (which the Colt is not) -- yet you do use a revolver in the shooting scene. I would also remove the dish from the apartment scene at the 24 second frame.
wow (-: i totally enjoyed it, it started of peacefully and went faster and faster. It was like a smileyrollercoasterride. I like your use of music (and timing).
I find "Haha" is best served with the exclamation point. Less tasty with the period, which adds a sarcastic aftertaste...I avoid serving it with the question mark, altogether.
I hate repeating myself. Except when I can't think of any new crap, which is why I've now done four Lone Ranger videos... I really admire people who can stick with one "show" and build on that. I'm too restless; I get bored and want to move on to a different topic or style.
And yeah, I'm a Brautigan fan, too :)

Now THAT is one SHORT short story.
It took me almost as long to give this 5 stars as it did for me to watch it.

This has been one of my favorite short stories for years. Brevity is such a great virtue.
kenrg 4 years ago
Yes.

And yet, a complete story. There's the setting, the problem, the motive, the action, and the result. Thanks!

Should've said; don't shoot! I'm only playin the violin!

Huh...I got up to get some hot buttery popcorn and a cold refreshing beverage and when I got back it was over...

That's what the "replay" button is for...
Did you save some popcorn for me?

I like that image on 00:14!
The left runway approach...
and there's a storm a-brewin' at twelve o'clock!
Nice and sweet...
Cheers!
EasyRaoul 4 years ago
The storm-a-brewin'? It's called foreshadowing. You have any idea how long I had to sit around in mid-air to get that shot just right?
Thank!
