  • Dude, this is officially my favorite song lol

  • this guy is a mad guitarist

  • The tallest man always comforts me through sleepless nights.

  • BIG love from your country, SWEDEN <3

  • he sings a lot better live!!!

  • Awesome, get the same feeling from this as I did when I discovered Nick Drake for the first time. I just can't help thinking of Peter Griffin when I see that chin tho :P

  • @PIGGBUKKITT Same, his playing is reminiscent of Nick Drake!

  • 11 people think dubstep is good music.

  • @dustinxrx I like this and I like dubstep. I also like Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Jeff Buckley, Yeasayer, Alexisonfire, Foo Fighters, Interpol, Metallica, James Blake, Dave Hause to name a few and what I like keeps expanding.

That's what's so fantastic about music. You don't have to only like one thing. If you like it, you like it and you share it with other people who like it.

Music is the best. Regardless of what genre you want to call it.

  • @aof36 My view exactly. I love rock, jazz, blues, electronica, dubstep, folk, and tons of other stuff. We're not supposed to box ourselves in, but rather be open to all the beauty and growth that can be had through music.

Props for being a Buckley fan, btw.

  • This guy blows my mind.

  • a tiny skinny hedgehog with a soft woody voice he is. *sigh*

  • intoxicating <3 :)

  • ahahaa. his face at the very end when he says "i won't be found." soo cute. love this song.

  • love him. no homo

  • I would marry his mustache

  • I want to marry his chin

  • shave ur face ;-)

  • Seriously, how do I favorite this more than once?

  • He could play the joker in batman

  • generic gay comment about how amazing his music is

  • His little moustache is so cute

  • holy extra woweeeeeee!!!!!!

    what the hell just happened?

did anybody get the number of that truck?

that is a force of nature. I'm sure physicists in years to come will have to re-write the books after that performance.

that was just so good. I loved it. time stood still for me too.

  • Can I trade him chins?

  • @Tnate17 can i trade him voices?

  • 10 different IP's .. Nice try Bob Dylan.

  • matt damon

  • @irishguy331 nah

  • @Forre12 A little.

  • @Ywsna fine maybe a little

  • this is material to treasure, he's so much better there than on the album!

  • possibly the most underrated musician of the past 20 years.... this man has influenced me in so many ways, he's the reason i began writing music. much love kristian, looking forward to our future musical collaborations

  • Why the fuck there isn't a album of this guy ?

  • @NunoDuarte7 There is... 2 acutally

  • @NunoDuarte7 he have 2 studio albums which are Shallow Grave and the Wild Hunt and 2 EPs which are Tallest man on earth and Some Times the Blues is Just a Passing Bird.

  • He makes me stop in my tracks whenever I listen to him. It's so inconvenient.

  • "The Tallest Man On Earth - I Won't Be Found (Live on KEXP)" - he obviously was.

  • I wish I could favorite this more than once.

  • Damn I want that mustache

  • i know for sure, that one day when i'm old and grey, i'm still gonna look back being thankful that i had such a beautiful soundtrack of my live.

  • This man is

  • Tuning is DADEAD.

    Very awesome.

  • @Notheus Just God will do, ;)

  • He's a great artist, the happy version of Where Do My Bluebird Fly (same rhythm).

  • @Pulanio this song is not happy, but I know what you mean :P

  • i just pooped my pants because i didn't want to leave the living room and can't afford a laptop.

  • i dared / tried to cover it.. what a fun song to play! i love it so much. :)

  • I love this version much more than the album one!

  • My face just melted off.

  • i have a man crush on his music

  • loooooove that mustache!

  • 'mazing, nuff said

  • Its like he doesn't even realize hes playing, he just dumps out his soul, unfiltered.

  • lovely music, but that mustage....thumbs down for that!

thumbs up for the music :) (especially king of spain&wild hunt)

  • astonishing!!!!!

time stood still is an excellent description for my reaction as well.

  • His voice is so rough and scratchy. But somehow, it sounds beautiful and so real.

  • @Mrmusicman2000 I just did after watching the King of Spain at 3:30 am .

  • A true musician with incredible talent. Easy to say when a live performance is just as good or even better (in this case) than the studio recording. Just my opinion. Thanks for posting.

  • its 1:00 in the morning, and this just made me run out to my car and get my guitar and start playing!

  • @Mrmusicman2000 yeaah man, im thinkin about doing the same at 12:47 am hahah

  • Vilken jävla bra röst!

  • Really starting to enjoy this guy! but who doesn't right?

  • I was surprised the clock behind him was still even ticking. For me, time stood still.

  • @rascaly1 lol

  • @rascaly1 I think it actually stopped at some parts

  • @rascaly1 Really? lol It went by to fast for me.

  • Superlike thanks

  • The way he plays guitar I love.

The way he sings I hate.

But putting it to getter is... unbelievable.

  • look up "while the city sleeps - back when we knew", similar soundscapes!

  • only qualm i have with him hes not that tall... unbelievable tho.

  • 9 people WILL be found... and i will hurt them..

  • Anyone know what guitar that is? Love tmoe!

  • @oasisrockerross it's a Furch made in the Czech Republic. The cheapest model.

  • 9 people were found.

  • this man deserves to play his music in the 60s, if only there was a time machine...

  • i can always appreciate someone who is obviously influenced by Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins. love that he put his own feel into it and made it his own...

  • I'm willing to bet he practices a lot.

  • This gives me shivers all over my body

  • he's no townes van zandt.

  • This is what i want played at my funeral. Iknow that sounds wierd but i love this song so damn much.

  • what kind of rocker records at 12.00 am????? fuck

  • I will found you and I'll marry you :) just saying.

  • wasn't he a subway musician at first ? good for him !

  • @miroslavsafin haha, he's from dalarna in sweden, there are no subways there. and he was the singer of a band called Montezumas before he became the tallest man on earth. :)

  • It's like Where do my bluebirds fly but in major

  • @beJausme its got similartities but also some big differences.alot of his songs are similar, but why change a winning recipe :)

  • My jaw just shattered from dropping to the floor so hard. Damnnnnn boy don't hurt 'em....

  • This is incredible, we ned more like him and Bon Iver, S Carey, Gomez, Ani Difranco. These people don't just do it for money. Its deep, its real, its their passion. Love it

  • and jesus said 'Well it's time for me to return." and Satan thought it was beautiful he shed a tear.

  • His music is so felt. Even though he's not a great singer; I love his voice because there's so much emotion in it.

  • @BrokenClouds89 well there's that and the stache :D

  • @BrokenClouds89 but dont you think that's what makes a great singer? having people get touched by the emotions of your voice?

  • YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song so much, I recorded a cover with my voice and keyboard.

  • Sings and plays 3 instruments and is from SWEDEN? Who would've thought...So talented.

  • @AW4L yeah cuz savages like me shouldn't be able to be good at anything

  • @AW4L yeah cuz savages like me shouldn't be able to be good at anything

  • @AW4L Hmm well for some reason many of the most talented musicians right now are...

  • melodic, beautiful, awesome x

  • 6 people don't know how to find great music.

  • @johchadow They did find their way to this song though. They found it, they just didn't know

  • Seems like he changed up this song a bit live, fucking awesome.

  • He looks like Brad Pitt.

  • He looks like Brad Pitt

  • justin wilmore is even better live!!

  • whenever I hear his music it gets me tears in my eyes because I'm so happy.... I love this so much

  • Does it baffle anyone else that he's able to sing with ridiculous passion and melody, and then back it with an equally ridiculous guitar part at the same time?

  • @WNSTNHWRTH Yes. It's honestly the most inspirational shit I've ever seen. Brb practicing for the rest of my life

  • @WNSTNHWRTH some review I read put that nicely into words:

He knows his guitar can speak as loudly as his words can.

  • @WNSTNHWRTH yeah. its MINDBLASTING!

  • @WNSTNHWRTH thank you, I think you've pinpointed exactly what it is about his songs that just make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. in the best way possible, of course. too good..

  • he reminds me of a cowboy

  • he's one of the reasons why I'm proud to claim that LIFE IS GREAT

  • this is a classic style. and this guy has got it down. nothing wrong with that.

  • For those of you who don't know. This is an adaptation of an old folk song titled "Mole In The Ground"

The most common version is by Bascom Lamar Lunsford

Nick Drake did an adaptation called Kimbie

Folk music is continuous, on-going. It never dies!

  • @vanceoliver Nick Drake actually covered it from Jackson C. Frank, a relatively unknown, yet influential folk musician.

  • PLEASE PLAY BONNAROO 2011!

  • YOU NEED TO GET THIS MAN OVER TO VIRGINIA CUZ PEOPLE WOULD LOVE HIM HERE HAHAHAHA

  • I want to get an acoustic guitar and get that good, respect.

  • Sound like some Nick Drake to me. That's look like a young johnny cash who stole the voice of Dylan and the talent of composer that Nick Drake was born with.

Good influence can only bring good music.

  • @TiGuy20 Yeah keep comparing musicians forever, you'll definitely get somewhere in the end if you keep at it.

  • @WhimZo I'm hesitant now, but I was thinking Dylan, Nick Drake and Dave Van Ronk - not as a copy but just that it hits a nerve for me of legendary folk artists in their youth. He's got a voice that gives me chills and the lyrics are special too. There is nothing about this guy that I don't like.

  • Folk + Good Poetry = AWESOMENESS

  • he looks a little like james franco, except he's the best guitar player ever.

  • @KatieGDog best FOLK guitar player

  • kexp is awesome!!!

  • 4 people were found

  • 173rd time watching this video, jaw still drops at how amazingly talented he is.

  • Good song, loose the beard

  • @SnaskeDorthe its not a beard its a mustache you wanker!

  • what crazy gypsy tuning is this in?

  • @wake266 ahaha it's DADEAD with capo on 8th fret

  • @didledadlelydoo not dadf#ad?

  • @wake266 hmmm I played it on dadead and it sounded pretty accurate, but maybe. Try the f# instead of e and see how it sounds. I might do the same next time I play it and stick to whichever one sounds better

  • :)

    Bob Dylan is good ;)

  • god damn

  • never mind, got it lol

  • im learning this now but cant figure out that little fast note progression thing he does during the intro and throughout, any help please people?

  • it makes me sad that i will never know someone personally with a talent like this....i have so many questions.

  • He makes one guitar sound like so many things

  • @Calvarez1932 great comment

  • @Calvarez1932 it's called sex.

  • gutted he cancelled electric picnic in 2010.......Amazing <3

  • This man is an excellent guitar player. Something this god damn era seems to lack!

  • {{{{goosebumps}}}frickin bRiLlIaNt!!!!

  • This basically has become my favorite song in literally 20 seconds. I love the part at the end where he's like "and if I ever get that slumber, I'll be that mole deep in the ground". Ah. I don't really understand it all, but I know I am in love with him.

  • he will never come to italy :(

  • @dakruo15 that's so sad :(

  • @dakruo15 he's playing italy on may 25th

  • @dakruo15 io ho mandato una mail all'agenzia di booking, ma non mi hanno risposto!

  • How come whenever I type in my favorite bands/songs live. There is always a KEXP live version haha. You Americans are very lucky to have a golden radio station like this. We just have stations that play chart music.

  • 4 people accidentally hit dislike.

  • Thank you for helping me survive this cold, cold, cold December month! :)

  • i know it would be brilliant for him, but i would hate it if he turned famous. i like him to stay hidden for those who care enough to look.
