@curlyhair72400 You obviously don't fish or else you'd know that if they had killed the fish like you suggest then they would go bad in the heat and sun and would be white gilled (spoiled) by the time they got back to shore later in the day...thus making them inedible. The bag's temporary until they put them in the livewell or whatever water filled container they have on board for fish storage. Go hug a tree.

@telephotousa True, I don't fish. But I have friends, and a grandfather (who I briefly fished with) who has been doing it all his life and is an expert fisherman. He always breaks the neck of the fish first in order to put it out of it's pain. Then he immediately puts it into a cooler or other "fish storage container" until he can bring it home. And I'm proud to be a "tree hugger", such a ridiculous term . I'd rather be considered a tree hugger than cause more harm to nature than needed.
