Wind, outside while playing, voices, and furthermore, Foggy Mountain Breakdown is a very versatile tune to which EACH musician has their own version, so maybe it's not "outta tune" at all. Amazing talent. I just bought an old banjo and am in the process of re-stringing it. I have been playing the guitar for over 40 years (since I was 5) and evidently taught myself the Frail method of 3 finger picking, so I am hoping that one day I can play that banjo like you do.
