the outer is the source not theinner just trust me. factor that in for everything and it all makes sense. think about it. think the universe like a hologram a human would look out and be blinded by the outer wall and the sun would help light things around us my girl is deaf and if i stand in front of the sun shhe cant see my lips so think the original light source as the darkness of space we need stars to see around us like a hologram we are blinded by the spotlight that created us
Firstly it isn't possible to know/predict the exact position and velocity/direction of travel of an electron at the same time. even a single electron containing atom appears as a diffuse cloud under an electron microscope. secondly protons and neutrons in the nucleus aren't distinguishable. Also the nucleus is thought to be spherical.
UPG equals the, a multiplied by (e) divide by C, w multiplied by (e) divide by C, s multiplied by (e) divide by C then multiplied by energy ... that binds atoms to atoms...
if you were able to enlarge an atom so that we could see it, it would look nothing like the scale portrayed in this video. If a nucleus of an atom was the size of a baseball, the nearest electron would be miles and miles away.
Not necessarily. Due to the law of conservation of mass, matter cannot be created or destroyed, as it is for energy. Furthermore, matter and energy are 2 completely different things. Energy, no matter how much of it is available, can never have mass; however, matter can have an electrical charge. I hope some of this makes sense. :D (Although I'm sure you really didn't want a chemistry lesson! lol)
Thanks! Although I know that already. However, I do realise that my original comment was some what thick and I most certainly appreciate your needed correction. (I am always ready for a chemistry lesson!)*

is that a lithium atom?

I love how people think electrons orbit a nucleus when mathmatically it is not even possible. LOL

Just to clear this up for everybody...
Matter and energy is interchangeable. But neither is destroyable.
During nuclear reactions the products have less mass than the initial reagents. This mass is lost to energy.
Try it, find the mass of a uranium nucleus, and find the total mass of what it splits into during a reaction. There will be a small difference.
Put that small difference in mass into the equation E = MC^2, and find the amount of energy released by one uranium atom splitting.

@matieman77 in what form does the energy release?
StelarCF 1 year ago
@StelarCF Heat, light and radiation. In nuclear power plants the heat is used to drive steam turbines.

@matieman77 First of all light=radiation. Second of all I don't know what else to say

so what happens when u split an atom then?

enegry cannot be either created or destroyed!

Surely atoms can be created due to the fact that matter can be created from energy, and energy is made of photons, not atoms.
