  • great video, but the double strokes arent really necessary. i can play Bleed too, but i play it like RLR L RLR L instead of your RRL L RRL L, but both work

  • @Nepoot Nope, I play it like you do! The way you say I do it would be so hard, lol.

  • @wimawa So basically, its just triplets over and over? I learn by ear, and I use heel toe. Please answer? :) Love your video!

  • I've never touched a drum set, but I can do this shit on the floor lol

  • @Croven86 Believe it or not Croven, but it is actually harder to play on a kit...

  • Great foot technique dude

  • 1st goal completed, brain obtained maximum learning capacity, closed window.

  • Wow bro! Awesome tutorial. Hay, you have same double pedal as I do. Maybe you can PM me some tips, how to increase performance in playing with double bass? I mean, how to tune bass drum and pedal, to make in comfortable and smooth? :)

  • tutorial? I see you can play it, but teaching? not so much.

  • Good tutorial!

  • Foot hertas

  • OMG ITS POSSIBLE TO PLAY THAT!

Are you Max Payne or what? U make Slow-Mo but we see as "normal" speed? :D

  • Your hihat pedal is pretty.

  • Holy shit that looks hard

  • GREAT VIDEO

  • good shit man. how was the Bagel?

  • played unclean

  • *tips hat* nice video, good sir. You reminded me of Ryan Reynolds there at the end. I'm pretty sure you'll get more bitches with that rhythm though.

  • must feel so bad ass to be able to do that double foot pedal pattern

  • The "I want a bagel" at the end was so fucking random. But great tutorial! :D

  • thanks for the help brah

  • i found that the pattern is R R L R R R L R

    (right, right left right,)

  • How was the bagel?

  • Thanks bro! I've been trying to get this stupid pattern for months......

  • move to Colorado and be our drummer.

  • Awesome little tutorial dude! Before I really get into it..do you start off with the left foot right before the right-footed double bursts?

  • @AznDrummer89 I usually do not. It's not too important though, but sometimes it helps people to get it down. I think that if the song calls for it, than go for it!

  • can u do this slide technique heel up?

  • @serialslammer Technically, I do. It's just hard to see that my heel isn't touching the pedal board.

  • I believe that direct drive pedal is more appropriate for playing songs like Bleed. I have the same pearl pedals, happy with them, but many tryouts have been creating only more and more mistakes for me for the whole time.

  • This is probably one of the hardest song on drums, of all time.. i can play 16ths notes on 220/230bpm but this is damn difficult. Calves burn extremly much, even if i warm up playing death metal.

  • nice schoes dude ;)

  • great job dude!!!!!! keep working hard ;)

  • Your voice reminds me of Seth Rogen

  • thanks alot for the vid Im actually getting the hang of it. i was at nothing before this video

  • its not totally in 4/4

    its a 9/8 and 4/4 poly rhythm

    9/8 on the bass

4/4 with the cymbal and snare

  • @pppggggg Or it's 3 bars of 4/4, where each bar is a different pattern. Most people would like to keep things simple, especially when just playing the bass pattern is a huge effort.

  • @Oli4drums yea you can count it what ever way makes it easier for the individual playing it

i always counted it as a poly rhythm i thought it was easier to think of two individual patterns

played at once but then again i have adhd lol

  • damn that looks hard, you desrve a bagel bro

  • ||: herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta herta :||

  • Damn you make it look so easy!!

  • i want a bagle

  • Ma-shoe-gah

  • 2:11 The Cymbal Was Off-Beat Man

  • @TB1DarkLight no it wasn't? lol

  • nice video, but you really couldn't have chosen a more inconvenient and blinded camera angle.

  • Thanks dude...ñ_ñ

This will go to my favorite.

  • Nice hihat stand.

  • You make it look so simple/easy. my word!

  • how to do the technique with the right foot ?

  • I totally want a bagel now

  • @GuitarFulvio1 Thank you very much! :)

  • you make it look so easy

  • @moket123 Thanks :)

  • ahh playing bleed in some half cabs that must feell really good

  • @brandokilla1 You bet!

  • It's a polyrhythym. The feet are playing a different time signature than the hands, meaning the 1 from the hands doesn't always land on the 1 from the kick. Another thing that may help is that one foot is going straight forward, and always playing. The other foot goes in bursts, kind of like a heartbeat. That's what makes the bursts of 3. Hope that helped someone. :P

  • @trokeification That's a fantastic explanation!

  • ok, wut? you want a baby? A bagel? A unicorn?

  • @BlendingStyles bagel! x)

  • D: oh my god.. how do you drummers even do this stuff? like, the guitar part isnt that hard.. but, the drums.. wow.

  • @BlendingStyles I think my sense of rhythm comes from me playing DDR since I was in 6th grade (I just finished my first year of college). Yes, I'm that nerdy.

  • @wimawa hahah awesome! and they say games are bad for ya. ;p

  • i dont need to see this! i have already mastred this for a half year ago!! pownd

  • @XxSasukeSharingaenxX You pwned yourself, because it says "Foot Technique Tutorial" in the title and you still clicked on it. HAHAHAHA. win.

  • @wimawa oki, i may be a little silly sometimes about covers ore technique! your right that i powned myself! :P

  • @XxSasukeSharingaenxX It's all good. No hard feelings!

  • Okay. Thanks man...

  • How long is it gonna take to learn this? Will it be better in a longboard??

  • @Xxscar2dCorexX When I started learning this, I had already learned how to do the foot-scoot maneuver. Long boards might help, but I'm not sure. I never had the need for one.

  • Probably the best Bleed foot technique tutorial on Youtube at the moment. Nice work man

  • @gustrees22 Thank you!

  • Nice, do you practice your left leg too? I learned that double burst well in about a month(+ year of playing RockBand before :D) but now after one year my left leg is still in stage 1, it can't do a fast double or even near it.

  • @Villex93 There was actually a long period of time where I was paranoid about my left leg lagging behind, so I used it a whole lot more than is necessary. I must say, it was very beneficial!

  • @wimawa Ok thanks!

  • Good tutorial.

  • @Ragnarockalypse Thanks!

  • I also want a bagle. btw nice half cabs

  • @Jaco979 Thanks, I love them.

  • The pattern is called a Herta. 2 32nd notes followed by 2 16th notes.

  • @thesilentcircus789 Good to know! Thanks so much.

  • @thesilentcircus789 He doesnt care

  • It's RLR-L?

  • @Jullix993 Yessir! That is how I do it, seeing as I scoot my right foot the best.

  • I don't play drums and I'm not even into this song but your explanation was very good and so is your drumming. Keep it up.

  • @crazyfalconX Thanks! I appreciate that, haha.

  • Good explanation man. Gonna give this shot with some triggers through a p.a. tomorrow. Thanks for the breakdown.

  • @lizardsobek Thanks! I decided that since everyone else that makes a video about this song doesn't own drums, I would contribute. lol.

  • awesome man you got crazy fast feet also sidepoint i like your shoes :D
