im sorry, i have a biorb, personally i love it, it's an excellent tank. but change the water every 30 days?? is he on drugs? i do a 30% water change twice a week to keep mine crystal clear. Saying that I'm sure I could easily get away with once a week but I've never left it that long as i try and keep it as clean as possible for the fish, its only fair :)

Its convenient and all, and it would look absolutely nice for decoration, but don't you think that fish is lonely? And if you were to add a few more companions wouldn't it be crowded? Just saying, its nice to re-duplicate a fish's environment as best as possible.

@CutePetGazette Something that is the opposite of these; bowl-shaped - small surface area, less fish can be kept in there, poor filtration - the filteration on these 'wonderful' biorbs is actually very poor, inexpensive; you can get a very large tank for the same price as one of these torture chambers!

publish a threatment of animals that is absolutely inacceptable.

I mean...a lot of guys are proud when they say that their Paracheirodon axeldori died after 2 or 3 years.

For most people fishes are only small things to put inside a bowl filled with water.

For example the gold fish keepers: do you think anyone of them knows how much one of those fishes pisses at one day ? ---> 8 Liters

An now make aguess what the fish is swimming in when he's inside of the bowl.

One should take nature as an example and should try to recreate a biotope 'cause it guarantees less care for the aquarium and longer live for your beloved fishes.

@CutePetGazette- its all good,we all have our moments. man those biorbs are expensive, well at least the square shaped ones are. about 4 bills for a 16 gallon is just ridiculous, especially since it looks like its made by ikea. must be one hell of a profit margin per unit. it only 6 gallons but i think the edge tank by fluval at1/4 the price is so much better looking and has a more sensible shape.
