  • Oh Yeah!

  • 1:41 o.O

    I like this frightening song.

  • I love how 70's the living room is.

  • I really appreciate the honest message in this Soundgarden video: Blow Up The Outside World

"When the world is too much for you to take, just blow it all up and forget everything negative "

  • i have never heard of a bad soundgarden or Audioslave song, there for chris cornell iz a genious ! something i think everyone can agree on :P

  • chris cornell is god!!!! blow up the outside world is one of their best!!!!!

  • yeah, and blow up timbaland while you're at it.

  • haha perfect.

  • @mfbugs damn dude

  • we had a clock just like that one when i was growing up!cornell is #1 still

  • fantastic!

  • So fantastic, the best song of Soundgarden!

    love it.

  • brings me right back to 1996- song is amazing and Chris Cornell sangs this well live when I saw him with Audioslave

  • I love all of the Seattle bands! I wish the 90's were back

  • Soundgarden..WOW. What a Band!! Chris is some singer. Very emotional songs, and harmonies.I miss the 90s. Where the Fuck did all of this Great Music go??

  • the next generation steps in, the last one gets older... life and death process of a human to grow.

  • Mankind is doomed after all, judging by the nowadays bands... :)

  • Im feelin ya on that....thank God for my music collection, and for yours!

  • stupendous song!

  • A time in my life when dress suits were a skin that needed shedding. These guys helped a lot...

  • And you are not alone with that :)

  • Blow up the outside

  • i saw chris last year

    this was the encore

    oh man, it was EPIC

  • gibson

  • gibson

  • Love Chris!!<3

  • nonononon nope. the other plays a fender telecaster but not chris

  • 10 points to the person that can name the brand of guitar Chris is playing!

  • Fender?

  • Isn't that an ibanez? Looks like my old teacher's..

  • Comment removed

  • I think it's a supro, i'm pretty sure that's the logo on the headstock.

  • I think you nailed it! 10 points for you!!!

  • this completely rocks..nothing like this out there now...

  • just fucking awesome !!! 5/5

  • I was lucky enough to see Soundgarden at the Greek in Berkeley California. They were awesome.

  • We never knew what we had in the 90's till it was gone in the 00's?

  • Blow the hell and goneeee ^_^

  • watching this.......MAKES ME MISS SOUNDGARDEN SO FUCKING MUCH!!!!!!

  • Chriss sings like crazy in this song.... not only that its high, but the way he does it.... i dont know many who could do that....

  • that bloke can really sing.hes not human....

  • i wish i appreciated soundgarden more in the 90s...it was just simply there...but like in 05-06' i started listening to it heavily and appreciateing alice in chains, soungarden, STP, nirvana, pearl jam, mud honey...etc..

  • Friend of mine was around that scene back in the day so was familiar with A.I.C., Pearl jam, Sound garden, Mother Love Bone ect but know what you mean about appreciating it more now...

  • Why! it means this music was timeless! it will never fade as the music that is put out currently.

  • well turbo i grew up hearing this all the time on the radio and i liked it, i just didnt LOVE it like i started to 5-6 years ago

  • Right on brother! This music blows away the current mainstream music. You are on the right path! Take care Bigvin

  • MrHeavymetalfreak....the video is about these scientists (who represent the outside world influences) as they show Chris the versions of love family, etc. as HE knows it and likes it. Then they try to pervert his world by exposing him to conflicting images of love family, etc. Chris figuratively destroys those negative influences by rejecting their advances. The basic message is, don't let the outside world tarnish those ideals you hold sacred.

  • that is really good breadfan...i thought so but you made it a little more clear...thanks

  • that made a shit load of sense thumbs up buddy

  • Best song ever. The video is horrible though. Whoever directed this video sucks balls for ruining a great song.

  • why do you say that, explain

  • these guys are legends. if you don't hear the genius, well.....

  • I cant believe that people dont like Badmotorfinger and Louden than Love. Those albums are real Soundgarden. We loved them through those albums

  • all of soundgardens albums are awesome its just that their last two were softer

    still awesome though

  • what album is this off

becuase i bought superunkown and it was good but i was dissapointed with louder than love and bad motor finger

this sounds more like superunkown again.

  • This song is off their last album "Down On The Upside".

  • What a nice song.. for me the best ever band in the world!! this song combines with intellectual and down to earth loving song.. for the people who walks in pain since birth who still alive right now.. yeah!! this song is great really inspiring!! I'm getting really emo in this song.. To Chris Cornell your the great!! I'm Ryann from Philippines thanks for ur great sounds thanks!! Godbless!! :-)

  • this video stinks.

  • thats cause i farted while listening...

  • pretty good song, very climactic!

  • they are fucking great, totally diferent to the rest !!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • I like this song

  • Ive heard recently a phrase "fuck on the floor and break shit" - Im not a native speaker so plz forgive me if im offendin someone - Im not quite sure about the usage of such a phrase but Ive got a notion it corresponds a bit to what i feel when i listen to Soundgarden( and to Audioslave as well.. and wouldn't say i feel this way when i hear "Scream" but that's another story ;))

  • i think this song is powerful does anyone agree?

  • ı agree with u..

  • im in love with this song

  • is it me or does their bassist look like a teenager?lol.

  • god blessed them with eternal youth because their music kicks so much ass. today chris cornell doesn't look a day over 30 and he's 45.

  • you're worst than the video

  • bad bad video, reminds me of my mother in law, dont know why..but the songs just perfect

  • mother in laws are the bane of existence

  • bad video

  • good song ...bad video

  • This song is great and video too. It's great idea: Chris as Alex.

  • Soundgarden and Rage. Two awesome bands! Audioslave is also awesome! But Chris singing Rage songs, not awesome. Quite painful actually. Why do I bring this up? I have no idea.

  • But you're still right. Hope some of these comeback someday, that what's really important.

  • Then again, if Zack tried to sing Audioslave or Soundgarden songs, that would probably be even more painful than Chris singing Rage tunes. Tom Morello is a very talented musician for knowing how to write to blend with his singer's voice. You hear a lot of lower bass notes to blend with Zack's rapping and a lot of melodies to blend with Chris's soulful singing.

  • 1 of my fav. soundgarden songs

  • best song

  • Comment removed

  • i wished sumone did blow up the outside.

  • therealcpt ur a dumbass if u think this is the best SG song. WOW im not one to judge but i feel pretty confident sayin ur an idiot

  • Favorite Soungarden video. Awesome band, this song is really cool.

  • Best song by sound garden hands down

  • kinda lame video, awesome song!

  • i think that is legal if you get their consent

  • This was Soundgarden's last video! I heard that before they broke up, they were gonna make a video for Ty Cobb or Rhinosaur.

  • Soundgarden are masters, speakin of Big Brother, its like 1984 more than u think, watch ur govt double speak u right out of every liberty we have left. "Change We Can Believe In"

  • great song. such a weird video......it's so fascinating though. SOUNDGARDEN FOREVER

  • Big Brother is watching you.

  • Wow, have not heard this since my early 30s.

Really had to turn the radio dial ALL the time to find good songs like this while running from that goddamn Spice Girls song.

    Good music from Soundgarden.

  • This was always my mindset as a teen.

  • If it was legal id fill your ass up with lead.

  • noia

  • Way to troll, bro. It's not obvious at all.

  • awesome! love Chris

  • haaaaaaa first to leave a comment....and i fuk it up by saying fuk ...and spelin it rong...lol...fuk it all!!

  • FAILURE IS YOURS.

  • no way this a teribil vid i used to be high as a kite and this vid would mellow me out and the music kicked me into gear so blam!

  • good song but terible video

  • try smoking a joint and watching it then this is so goddamn trippy

  • metal

  • Only 500K views? This video seems kinda Clockwork Orange no?

  • <3333333333333333333333 beautiful..

  • one of grunges last relics...long live down on the upside. hopefully aic will be grunges newest resurgence .

  • And did you forget Pearl Jam ?

  • God i love Matt Cameron

  • i hope so ... no , i pray .

  • Once this emo punk pseudo-seventies/eighties pop crap goes away, the next phase should be some sort of new heavy metal pop phase followed by the grunge renaissance. Pop culture goes in cycles. Hopefully by 2018, we get music like this again.

  • EXACTLY!

i was thinking the same thing before!

i think it'll happen sooner though

  • and when it happens hopefully it will stay longer

  • Soundgarden and AiC are the two best grunge bands I think. Nirvana can get a little too poppy for me. Another thing I love about Soundgarden & AiC is that even though their songs may sound depressing at first they usually resolve it with hope towards the end. Nirvana just doesn't do that for me

  • Soundgarden=God of Grunge...

if you do not like this band than my friend i have no utter respect for you.

  • Lets see if AIC can bring back grunge..

  • 2010's a new decade, bands of the world unite and create the new grunge

  • rock isnt dead.. the good bands are dead.. the crap rock still lives on.. i hope some of those bands revive.. even if its timely

  • rock never dies people wtf rip??? we can keep rock alive, we can live in our world!!!

  • RIP Rock.

  • This song has such a beautiful desperateness.

  • Reminds of Got me Wrong. Still it got such an own feeling.

  • I wish this fucker would stick with one band and continue to put out music. The best voice in Rock in my opinion. He won't get back with Soundgarden so he should have stayed with Audioslave that was a great band.

  • i loved 80 & especially 90s music

the only redeeming bands of the 00s are imo:

white stripes- raconteurs and black keys.

havent bought anything else this century

  • ugotpimp, check out clutch. theyre from the 90s and got better with age.

  • RIP 90's :-(

  • it seems as if theres so sort of story to this song, like with the love, mother, father, happiness, me anyone know what im saying??

  • The 90's and early 00's were the best. Now its all mainstream crap. Its too bad..

  • someone has to bring the 90s back... some hero.

  • Couldnt agree more with you guys! I heard that the 90s were considered another psychedelic music era and thats so true. It was the last good era of music. These days everything is so unoriginal.

  • i agree man

i been playin drums for 9 years and i kno good music from bad music

all the rap and hip hop they play is such bullshit

    im sick of it

they need to bring the 90s back

  • i love stuff like this and depressing music is so emotional im a guitarist and im only 12 but i am good enough to be a semi professional its just no one gives a kid a chance. and everyone i know hates my soundgarden, pinkfloyd etc and insted of listening to chris cornell they listen to a little stupid fag like chris brown... damn i hate it... my dream is to bring music like this back and i know it will happen eventually i promise

  • you are my new friend haha

fuck the people that dont like our bands

were just ahead of them in coolness

    i'm 17

my goal is to be the person who brings rock back ..i can do it lol

  • i guess that restore 90's rock is almost impossible dude... unfortunatelly...

the world is always changing, what they (or WE who have rock bands) could do is create new GOOD music...

cause nowadays all we can hear is little happy faggot boys singing their happy life,

example: jonas brother, emo gay bands...

  • hell yes i feel like they only 12 year old that dosent listen to gay hip hop

  • Comment removed

  • 90's rock was pure art and ideology,

every single song or videoclip has a diferent idea about an interesting thing, i could stay for hours in front of my tv, watching for MTV and never get tired for that

but today all we can get is rap n' black shit...

  • Exactly my thoughts. It used to be so trippy.

  • this is my favourite soundgarden track so meaningful

  • Chris is so sexy...sigh.

  • You know why I love Cornell so much? Because his songs truely meansomething meaningfull...so many rock songs and songs from that era were great but yet didnt have a true phsycological message...ever one of his earlier songs with soundgarden have a truely deep phsycological message in them that goes beyond words.

  • I agree.

Nothing gets as deep now a days.

Every "rock" song today...basically souinds like the next. They all sound the same ...And they're all basically about the same stupid superficial shit .

  • idk man, its not the same.....

  • Amazing stuff. PS. UMG can suck a dick out of an asshole

  • ok im a girl, but i would give anything to have his voice....its so unique!

  • haha they sound like the beatles led zeppelin and black sabbath in a blender

  • Best voice in rock an roll.

  • Comment removed

  • im guessing this was when chris was at a stage where he looked at the world differently, seems like it.

chris is just an amazing writer and singer no matter what!!

what a god in the music industry!!! :)

  • pure sweet hard rock

  • What is none faggot rock

  • wolfgar50 is every where lol MEOW!

  • How dare Universal, MTV, and Youtube edit the images from the original video. This song is about the affects on the younger generation created by the older generation that control everything. Another example of political brainwashing!

  • best video

  • This video is amazing, Like Terry Gilliam directed it or something.

  • This is, in my opinion, the last great masterpiece of 90's grunge. The emotional crunch at the second chorus often brings a tear to my eye. Music that moves the soul like this is truly a gift.

"And God bless you all...For the song you sang..."

  • dewd, you just gayed up this song with your useless thoughts. thanks.

  • wtf 400K views only?

  • lets see man!!!

    thanks for your beautifull dirt!!!!!!

  • chris cornell played a song on letterman and it was pretty good...it was rock it wasn't hi
