  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • COOLL!

    My fav part is 0:23-0:36

so many lights so cool ! where did you record it?

  • パスポートが落ちましたよ!

  • Can anyone tell me how to take video with the Canon EOS 5D camera? I've had the camera for a couple of years and have yet to figure ou how to produce a video clip with this camera. All I get are still frames but no video.

  • @Labrabob Only a 5d MKII has video the 5D NOT!

  • hey tyspicture...what lens did you use at 0:20...want it so bad :)

  • Great video!

The credits at the end could have been a more contrasting or solid color though....

  • Fun concept. I just did a series on 5D filmmaking. Cheers.

  • that was fake eating, nobody takes that small of bites lol

  • what lens did you use?... GREAT VIDEO

  • perfect video!!!!

  • she's remembering her childhood and reading her diary, nice little video.

  • Hope do you get that circular effect?

  • @b00gym4n

    it's a fish eye lens

  • Shitty directing. Camera angles are all wrong. It's also not showing off the camera very well because the lighting is blown out in some scenes and the colors are just out of whack in others.

I would totally do everything to the girl though. She would have holes filled that she never knew existed.

  • @intrigid Shut up and get out of here!

  • @enlightenradio No, you.

  • great video! Im looking forward to buy this camera.. In the end of the video do you use any filters to record the sea??

  • Please tell me what program did you use for editing? How did you import your video to your software? Im having mayor issues with premiere, cant import my files =/

  • great!

but what is the name of the song?

  • Are those your kids and your wife? She is gorgeous!

  • How large is the original 1080p file you cut? Before uploading to YouTube. And did you shoot in 1080p/24?

  • is this in japan?

  • that asian is fuckin hot

  • Please can anyone tell me how you can edit these videos taken by the 5D MARK II ?

I have it and the videos are sooo heavy and almost impossible to play. I just wanna know how to convert them into lighter files keeping the quality. THANK YOU SO MUCH I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE AN ANSWER.

  • Thank you for watching.

5D MARK II movie data was not good at for edited.

The reason is that the codec H264MOV = GOP (Group Of Pictures)

    Most Mac users.

    Codec to convert Apple ProRes422

    Edited using FinalCutPro.

  • @alexsayhi dude you spent a lot of cash on the 5D get a better PC, i can edit on my old quad core q6600 clocked at 3.2GHz and 8GB ram with adobe CS4, no problems

  • I have a great laptop PC that i bought 6 months ago so the problem cannot come from my laptop. But anyways i found this mpeg streamclip program that fixed all my problems, it's all good.

  • @alexsayhi use proxy files to edit and swap in the high res originals at final compile time

  • @alexsayhi

I'm using Grass Valley Edius Neo 2 Booster. You should convert the native AVCHD MOV Files into Canopus HQ Files. This codec is really great to cut you files in full HD. No lack, no problems.

  • @alexsayhi For windows users use mpeg stream (free download) and the free dnxhd codec from Avid

  • @alexsayhi

if you are editing with final cut pro , just convert the files to pro res 442 by importing the original canon files into fcp . highlighting them , right click on mouse and an option "batch export " comes up, set the export setting to pro res 422 and execute , it takes flippin ages! but works fine when you re -import your pro res 422 back into fcp , there is no difference in quality , that can see! , hope that helps

  • @tarkstar99 Thanx a lot bro ! I'll try that today ! Thanx for the help !

  • @alexsayhi

hey no probs, just to add make sure you select pro res 422 1980x 1080 @ 30frames per second unless you selected 24 fps on your 5d mk11 good luck

  • @alexsayhi

    i mean pro res 422 1920 x 1080 30fps

  • @alexsayhi Use Sony Vegas Pro to edit the movies filmed with almost any camcorder/camera.

  • @alexsayhi For PC:

Download a program called MPEGSTREAMCLIP. Its a free piece of software one uses to convert your 5D MK II files to an editable format. Not sure what format that would be on PC as its the Apple ProRes 422 codec that is being used on Mac and is only available on Mac. Another alternative is to buy Cineform's Neoscene and convert your footage into a Cineform 422 codec, which is much lighter and easier to edit. But be prepared to pay for this.

  • @alexsayhi Use " any video converter" to convert your file to a smaller format.

  • @alexsayhi use mpeg stream clip

  • Well surprise fucking surprise! The director, cinematographer and editor are all the same people!

  • Great video, the Mark II is awesome.

  • I don't know why people have these amazing videos and they upload it in horrible quality...what's the point?

  • I've owned one for almost 12 months now.... Crap video.... That's all...!!!!!

  • I'm considering buying one so how is the video crap exactly? I've seen loads of footage that looks brilliant and loads of people say it's pretty amazing.

  • Is this choppiness in faster moving elements from the camera, or is it a Youtube thing...or? I love the narrow field of depth you get with these big sensors...but am curious about how it tracks movement.

  • To tell you honestly - I was disappointed with resolution of this clip. But I think it wasn't camera fault (I believe OES 5D is outstanding cam), I think that editing killed it (or post production format). But still anyway I think if you want to get best results, camcorders should be used for video shooting, and still photo cameras - for still photos. I use HF S10 above & underwater (for still photos as well), check my channel for vids. Good luck any way.

  • I am beginning to see some chopinness every now and then on these camera videos. why is that?

  • What lens was used?

  • Is there manual control in video mode with the 5d?

  • Yes,

  • amazing color, rich color, ive shot my movie with the Mark 2

  • We just shot a full pop promo on the d5 mk ii. Its for an artist called Fonzerelli and the tracks called dreamin'. Its on Fonzerelli's official channel. I hope you like it.

  • at around 1.14, when the girl turns her head, you can see a kind of stuttering... I have heard that this camera does this from time to time. have you worked out how to avoid that?

  • its probably when its uploaded onto youtube.

  • Some answers, yes it has manual controls, auto focus and you can convert the fps in MPEG Streamclip, After Affects, Cinema tools etc

  • freakin' gorgeous pictures !!!

  • Is it still limited to only shot with 30 fps?

I heard that Canon made it impossible to run with 25 fps!

  • Comment removed

  • ooh nice.............

  • Love it. I've never liked a Canon camera until I heard about this one.

  • Thrust me!

  • with the new firmware update you now have full manual control

  • Seriously? This was the only reason i decided not to buy one.

  • beautiful. Im buying one.

  • Well done!

  • Does the Camera Have an OIS function?

  • Not unless your lens is an IS lens.

  • It have an autofocus, thrust me !! 2 modes !! Still autofocus, and quick focus.

  • good camera, although i don't know what this film is all about.

  • @pleiotropicaction

    BLUE SEA

  • @pleiotropicaction it's an artistic film.

  • How can u produce such a film with a still camera?

  • it has a video capture, new feature, excellent quality

  • what's the name of the music...with the piano solo playing ??

  • Nice work you done here!

  • So good. Very vibrant.

  • the mark II does its job well

  • well I thought I was there but I wasn't inventions exist only to disappoint...never dream Mark you'll see an alien that was a drawing, creepy

  • Great! Well done!

  • 5D doesnt have auto focussing?

  • 5d has auto focussing but it's a little bit slow

  • the video capture doesn't have autofocusing, which makes for some really artsy looking filming haha

  • uh, no video cameras have autofocus...

  • ha yeah but not the mark ii. it's an slr with video capture capability. while recording it doesn't have autofocusing.

  • yes it does. it auto-focuses using contrast type auto-focus, not the best but still gets the job done

  • no, it does not get the job done.

  • HI, how did you keep the moving lady in focus as she walked towards the camera? because the 5d mark II is all manual focusing, and if the subject moves towards the camera, the subject is thrown out of focus

  • As a Normal Pro movie camera, in manual mode !

  • It's called pulling focus.

  • Ya know, a $150,000 Phantom or $250,000 Arri 35 camera doesn't have AF, either. It's called pull-focusing.

  • Fantastic video. So professional!

  • na cinese che magna con la forchetta? ahhahaha mai vista! hihihi

  • fantastic video TY.. amazing camera too...

  • What is the name of the piano song?

  • Very nice video. What lenses did you use and an what ISO value? Did you use any filters, effects or saturation adjustments in iMovie?

  • first lens looks like a 15mm fisheye.

  • seems more distorted than the 15L

  • there is no 15L

  • sorry, 14L

  • Append URL with &fmt=22 for higher quality.

  • Very nice video! I can not wait to get my hands on my 5D MII. I am visiting Tokyo again in April and I can not wait to do my video.

What hardware/software did you use on video editing?
