I can´t understand a word, but I love the russian version of this song. As the story is set in Russia, it sounds more "real" when she sings in russian :)
I have an OBSESSION about Russia that started with the russian part of Aprés Moi by Regina Spektor. Then I remembered this movie from my childhood, and I just watched it. This scene made me cry, the song + video it's so powerful, beautiful and sad. I LOVE Russia. I want to go there. I want to speak Russian. I want to know more about that family, the Rovanovs. I want to live in this world - I have this imagination of black fur coats and onion-roofed palaces! Wow, chills. I'm so fascinated. <3
How old is this movie? Why does everyone keep calling this a "Disney masterpiece?" This film wasn't near the quality of Disney, though it surely was a pretty-looking movie with cute songs that entertained kids. But it's a Don Bluth film, which looks different from Disney if you pay attention. Bluth worked in Disney, but years and years before this movie was made, and his style is seen in other films he did like Rock A Doodle, Pebble and The Penguin, American Tale, etc.
@MissReige It was released in 1997, which would make it currently at thirteen years old. A lot of people think this movie is by Disney because people are stupid. /Shrug. The style of the movie is actually very, very different from Disney's style, and I prefer it much more.
@neylakinz You're a pathetic excuse for a human. Let me tell you something, intelligence ≠ knowledge, get that through your brain. First of all, there is a correspondence between intelligence and knowledge, but they *do not* always go hand in hand. An idiot who knows many facts is not superior to an intelligent person who does not know those facts. Because if given the opportunity, the intelligent person will learn faster. I've just destroyed your position that not knowing something = stupidity.
@YouStoleMyTube Oh, okay, so I'm not allowed to state something that I didn't in any way fully believe in, yet you are allowed to judge me right off the bat? Check your hypocrisy levels before you attack someone, especially as I never intended for that to offend anyone which led to my giving up in even considering to formulate an argument.
@YouStoleMyTube Also, since you're attacking me and judging me without a second thought, I'd like to inform you that this type of nonsensical behaviour shows your own stupidity quite clearly.
Ah, your hypocrisy levels just keep rising, eh? (;
@neylakinz It's obvious that a fool such as yourself can not be reasoned with. You are the hypocrite for calling others stupid when you yourself possess the same trait.
@YouStoleMyTube I cannot be reasoned with? What a pathetic excuse to mask your own error in this argument. You irrationally attacked me for no reason; I told you twice, possibly three times, that when I said people were stupid for not knowing who created this movie, that I had not meant it nor had even believed in it. It indeed, as I have clearly already admitted, was a lame excuse with nothing backing it. And yet you still judge me. How am I the one being stupid? I admitted to defeat; you..
@YouStoleMyTube are the one who seems to believe that you are superiour in this argument, which is entirely false and extremely narrow-minded. Think, breathe, analyse. You are in much more fault than I am at this point, and it is a shallow attempt to try to keep yourself flawless. To add to this, your narrow-mindedness is blinding your vision, so you are not seeing the situation clearly and this is stupidity at a great high point. Congratulations, asshat, you're a part of the stupid people.
I have Russian blood but do not know the language :( but then again.. I am mostly Hispanic & do not even know how to write,read,speak or understand spanish I'm just an Epic Fail.. but I did sing this version of the song :D I don't think I did too bad
@TheYellowOrangeFox8D It's okay, my dad has half Portuguese and all I know in Portuguese is the word "sim", but I don't even know what it means!!!! We can fail together!!!
Valcer je kružio i nosio me, uvlačeći me u svoju bajku. Prvi bal i prvi valcer, čujem ih i sada. Gledala sam u ćilibar koji je odražavao moje ushićenje. Neko je pevao u zoru, napuštajući rodnu kuću: Bićeš ti, u decembru, ponovo sa mnom, draga.
Like a pattern on the window, the past is near again, someone sang a song to me during the winter nights. As if the past has revived the warmth of someone's hands waltz of exquisite guests and run of mighty horses. Waltz spinned and carried me, dragging me in it's fairytale, the first ball and the first waltz that I can hear now. I mirrored in amber that reflected my delight. Someone sang at dawnbreak while leaving her home: You will be, in December, again with me, my darling.
@tmh726 oh, you're ukrainian? o.O ...well, I'M sorry then xD I thought you were some pretentious american or something. If you're truly Ukrainan then you probably know much more about Russian than I do...I'm sorry I jumped to conclusions
@ImmortalCRO :-) it's OK. I am an American, but my grandmother taught me Polish and Ukrainian (and my grandfather taught me Slovak, and a friend is teaching me Serbian). I'm fluent in Ukrainian, but yes, I am an American. I can get around speaking Russian, though. Russian is similar to Ukrainian.
