@skaisftw Zampano would have to film himself, Johnny would have to film himself, they'd need to be splitscreened and picture-in-pictured so that actions could happen in tandem, in reverse, in opposition, upside-down, sideways, in slideshows, with different cameras to mimic the font changes. Oh & the Navidson Record itself would have to exist, which is a problem since part of the point of the story is that it supposedly doesn't (but it does [but it's never found {but it's not real |it's real| }])

no series of images could ever come close to showing anyone the dark depths of that book. to make a film of it is on the border of mockery. the whole point is its a film mostly of dark; a story written by a blind man to show whats NOT there. space. u are the one to fear. the house does exist

I dont think so... The film production is at a hault because there is no location to film it in that is available to us. The festival is coming up very quick so it is going to be a close one if it gets done..

it certainly wouldn't be amazing, no matter who's hands the film rights would be in.. a movie about house of leaves would be ok at best.. there's too much to it and it's too complex. in my opinion. maybe the navidson record, sure. i would probably watch that. but house of leaves as a whole? let's just leave it as is; a book.

i agree. House of Leaves is significant among other novels in that its contents really cannot be made into a feature-length film. The novel is the only art form that can truly convey Danielewski's message, in my opinion.

Well to be honest sean... a teaser trailer doesn't have to appease to you. It is just a simple trailer put together without any footage. You dont even have a movie that your going to film this year for the film festival.
