This would be so cool!!! Please let it be true!!! And I'm probobly gonna get that game, I've only ever played the first FF (which I own). :D So this one may be pretty cool. The only game I know of that has voice chat are the Pokemon games. I think the NN will be like XBL and PSN where you can join Parties (Only on XBox as far as I remember) and talk while you play seperate games and so you can send messages to your friends and add people you meet online like XBL and PSN.

@Phillippi2 from what videos I've seen and articles I read it has a HD port but it uses DVD discs as in not HD while the Xbox 360 uses HD-DVD discs and the ps3 uses blu-ray and the only thing that's HD on it besides a port for an HDMI cord is the new controller attachment has a HD LCD screen so you can play platformers on the go in your house and see the sand or fairway when you wave your wiimote over it when its on the floor during the original wii sports.

i really hope Nintendo gets their online situation straight. They came pretty weak with it on the Wii. Not only is the current set up pretty limited, but they have so few games that are compatible. I'm still pissed new super mario bros didnt have online.

NICE INFO! I played the Super Smash Brawl, Mario Kart, Conduit, Conduit 2 (one of the few games to support voice chat) on Wii online. While friend codes were sub-par, I definitely see the potential there. Come on Nintendo! DELIVER! This will push me over the edge and encourage me to pick up the WiiU. Multiplayer is great the most fun w/ ur buddies & beer at ur house! but online is the next best thing!

I think it is going to be used for downloadable songs in Theaterhythm. I already ripped into this game when it was announced, but now I'm generally excited. Let's hope they'll deliver, eh - both Nintendo and Square ENix.

They already have a Nintendo network and for the Wii it was called WiiConnect24 which they might change its name to be more universal like on the DSi systems or the 3DS in other words its the same network same principle new logo I have a feeling just so people know certain games work with wifi. I'm hoping they add wpa2 security with this update.

If the rumor is true, it is a very a good move. I think Nintendo realizes that this is a integral feature for them to be successful in the next 5 to 10 years. I suspect it will be online.
