It got alot of attention at the toll booths , suprisingly it pulled an average of 16-17 Mpg on the way home , cost under $110 for the drive home to Ohio.. not too bad. !

It may have been oh i dont know back in 1991 when it was made, but also not even 3000 were made and it wasn't even a "production truck." It only had 280hp with the turbo and had an AllWheel drive system off the astro van, not exactly high performance. Yes it is fast off the line, but it drops off before it can top out as high as the Ram SRT-10 does.

Well let's start with the '87 Dakota I have. It's a V6 5speed 4WD with 167,000 miles. The transmission is utter shit, sounds like a fucking rock crusher and half the time you only have fifth and reverse. Then there's the '96 van we have, 110K. It's drive axles pop. My Ford? 275,000 miles and it's transmission works FLAWLESSLY. so does it's engine for that matter. And it's never been rebuilt.

Minivans are soccermom cars. They're supposed to be in your garage for at most, 3 years, before you get a new one 'cause you can't stand the horrendous stench/stickiness/ugly-interior/and-God-knows-what-bodily-fluids-caked-on-the-windows. They're especially not made to last long.
Full-size trucks + SUVs, and luxury cars are what last a long time. Not tonka toy trucks and soccermom minivans.

And you should look into the Hurst Shifter that is stock on all Viper Rams. It's very nice. Gearboxes may be crappy in your soccermom minivan and your toy truck, but when it comes to the serious contenders...

There were no plans to produce this special-edition Tundra (taken from the MT article). The SRT-10 is still one of fastest production trucks (fastest in America) clocked at an average speed 154.5mph (see Guiness book of world records), only surpassed by an Australian HSV Maloo with an average speed of 168.668 mph.

Reliability?? LOL. I've just been reading Whatcar online. I read the reviews for the Nissan Quashqai whatever it's called.
Half of the owners reviews scored it 1 out of 5 in all 5 catagories.
One woman complained that just before it reached 13,000 miles, the door handle fell off, the brake discs warped, and the clutch had fucked.
She wrote another review two weeks later saying it's gone back in for repair..again!

@jpap967 the Syclone is not the fastest production truck in the world buddy. It may have been oh i dont know back in 1991 when it was made, but also not even 3000 were made and it wasn't even a "production truck." It only had 280hp with the turbo and had an AllWheel drive system off the astro van, not exactly high performance. Yes it is fast off the line, but it drops off before it can top out as high as the Ram SRT-10 does.

@srtgarret First i never said it wasn't turboed, that and the AWD system off the ASTRO VAN was all it had going for it. and no it doesn't weigh 4200 lbs it weighed 3500 lbs. But if you really wanna get into it a gotta stock 4x4 2.7L cylinder Tacoma that tops out at 134, and would do the 1/4 mile in 11.7 seconds and was cheaper than both of em.

Like always people never seem to think trucks can be fast, but with the proper knowledge and feel of a vehicle and losing that fear factor and just driving it like your a part of it you can make it do things it aint "supposed" to do. One it weighs half what those cars do, also its got shorter gears to account for the smaller motor. Its 4x4, not AWD. You have it in 4x4 when you start, and when you shift into 2nd gear you take

It when its in 4x4 you accelerate very fast, but you have to drop to 2wd to reach the top end. because of its short gears and acceleration you reach top end very quickly and thus running a very quick 1/4 mile.

Excuse me. Three things.
It's not even a truck. It's not tow rated. It's not off road capable, you'll rip off that really expensive front splitter. It's not able to tow a fifth wheel trailer, either, you'll rip off that utterly useless spoiler. The Ford Lightnings and SS454 Chevrolets were still trucks, they could still do all of those things. This is no more a truck than those things in the Camping World series of NASCAR.

Two problems with this truck.
One: No stickshift. Automatic only. What kind of half-baked piece of shit performance vehicle is slush-o-matic only?
Two: It's a dodge. Even if it did have a manual the wheels would fall off after a few miles. Or the tranny would explode. Or if they outsourced that to Tremec like they did the Viper the frame might phail. At any rate the interior will go to shit after three years and it's going to rust like a motherfucker.

I've owned three dodges. They've been nothing but shit. An '87 Dakota with 167K has shed three transmissions and shattered a bellhousing, a '94 van just ran like shit and the '96 van with 110K has popping drive axles and electrical failures all over the place. My 275K Ford? Runs perfectly.

Well let's start with the '87 Dakota I have. It's a V6 5speed 4WD with 167,000 miles. The transmission is utter shit, sounds like a fucking rock crusher and half the time you only have fifth and reverse. Then there's the '96 van we have, 110K. It's drive axles pop. My Ford? 275,000 miles and it's transmission works FLAWLESSLY. so does it's engine for that matter. And it's never been rebuilt.
Dodge is shit. I'm hardly jealous of anyone driving one.

It's not an exuse. It's fact. Dodge vehicles are pretty much shit... except the Ram and the Viper. In fact, I'd go so far as to say only the vipers, Hemi Rams, Cummins Rams, and Viper Rams are decent. EVERYTHING else Dodge makes... shit. 3.7L Rams and 4.7L Rams are crap.
And you should look into the Hurst Shifter that is stock on all Viper Rams. It's very nice. Gearboxes may be crappy in your soccermom minivan and your toy truck, but when it comes to the serious contenders...
