Have you read Pamuk's Istanbul memoirs? This guy had major issues with his family. What are those "civilized" countries? US? Germany? France? UK? Netherlands? Belgium? Spain?
History is not an empirical science that we can repeat exact same procedure in a lab and see what might have happened. As far as I know, both sides lack concrete evidence, but contries are biased and favor, refuse or ignore this, depending on their political relationships with each side. Turkey is lucky, because Armenia's position on global politics and economy is almost neglectable.

Both sides lack reliable ones, so it's difficult to claim whether this has happened or not. Something has happened, that's for sure. But we don't know strict borders of what has happened.
Where is the proof? Turks have photos, mass grave findings, etc. as well. Armenians have similar evidence. Here are my facts:

b. I don't believe Armenians' or Turks' biased claims.

Is it because he recognized a "So-Called Genocide" and also ignoring the suffering of Turkish people from the periods of 1915-1923 and just said that only Greeks, Armenians suffered. I don't think he's a hero because he "recognized" the "genocide". His point was to defend freedom of speech, its less about the war. Pamuk is all about freedom of speech and talking about things that are considered taboo. I agree with you. War is war. People kill people. Personally, I see everyone as victims though.

Have you read Pamuk's Istanbul memoirs? This guy had major issues with his family. He was abused by brother and neglected emotionally by mother and had some sorts of a 'sexual identity' issues, relating to his mother. He was a privelaged and sheltered and disillusioned kid who grew up to be what you see now. a hateful,shallow human being w a noble prize.

Armenians and Greeks were land owners and they were very wealthy,
Jews were merchants and they were also wealthy,
Persians and Arabs were respected highly because they were muslim and prophet was an arab,

Even among writers there are few to see and present this conflict with sensibility, attentivness, richness in detail and of language. Pamuk is one of them and my favorite by now. I wish that the ideas in his books wouldn't be viewed only as "style", "beauty", or "post-modern". They teach us, too. Like the author said himself.

I understand that many people are feeling rather resentful of his Nobel prize win but this award is given based on talent not political conviction. I'm sure his government is making him say that. We all know the Armenian genocide did occur. Nothing is going to take that back- it is the stain on Turkey's history. Turkish historians/researchers met with Armenian historians/researchers a few years ago in Austria.They showed each other,their papers about the so called Armenian genocite,the Armenian side had nothing special,fake stuff,but the Turkish side had incredible material,that the Tukrs had never make a genocide!A second meeting was planned but the Armenian team never showed up again?Why?Because they knew that they had nothing against the Turks,thats why they never showed up again!So keep on dreaming

What are those "civilized" countries? US? Germany? France? UK? Netherlands? Belgium? Spain?
History is not an empirical science that we can repeat exact same procedure in a lab and see what might have happened. As far as I know, both sides lack concrete evidence, but contries are biased and favor, refuse or ignore this, depending on their political relationships with each side. Turkey is lucky, because Armenia's position on global politics and economy is almost neglectable.

I am sorry, but bragging about this claim, I believe, is servinig to different political purposes. What will Armenia gain, if Turkey admits? Will Armenia be given "The World's Best Place To Live" award, which we've been holding for sometime :). Or the other way around, what will Turkey gain, if they are proven innocent?

Both sides lack reliable ones, so it's difficult to claim whether this has happened or not. Something has happened, that's for sure. But we don't know strict borders of what has happened.

Where is the proof? Turks have photos, mass grave findings, etc. as well. Armenians have similar evidence. Here are my facts:
a. I don't care whether it has happened.
b. I don't believe Armenians' or Turks' biased claims.
c. I can't find any excuse to ban people's thoughts, except mental retardness; believing or refusing "anything" can't be guaranteed or banned by law, as an individual's thought is out of the reach of any court on planet Earth.
d. This claim has different political purposes
