Transformers Animated was the only time I've ever heard of Black Arachnia; me being stuck under a rock for the Beast Wars saga. And when I first saw her I got a Catwoman vibe from her which maginified when Optimus Prime came on screen.

Great video, DCE. For once, I agree with you 100%. Blackarachnia is one of THE greatest characters of all time! (Thunderblast -- who I've grown really fond of -- couldn't top her if she tried.)

I agree. She is a great character and I can feel her usual allegiance swapping coming in later episodes.

I think her figure is the best spider figure yet. One problem I had with the others were that the spider legs either weren't very posable or couldn't hold up the main body. Namely, her huge transmetal 2 figure, it was way too heavy for her legs.

Animated Blackarchinda is my second favourite femebot. Thunderblast is my favourite.

Anyway Blackarchinda is going to be in Black Friday where she poison Prowl and Bumblebee and optimus tries to get a device from Meltdown that could cure Blackacrhinda.

I'm hope in the 3rd season Blackarchinda joins the Autobots as she did join the Maximal in the 3rd season of Beast Wars.

Her "mask" is an helmet that was lying inside the Decepticon ship in "Along came a Spider", during one of the many flashback. her techno-organic "mutation" apparently disfigured her, so it seem she picked up an old helmet to hide her face.
