Hi I would appreciate an answer , the display on my macbook is fine at certain position but when i move it up or down there are spots it looses light ,I can see the picture just no light , move it again up or down comes back to normal .
Any chance what that could be ?
I ve opened it for a good clean following your videos but could not identify where the problem comes from .
That means that the inverter cable is either pinched or not plugged in correctly to the inverter board. (The inverter cable is the cable that runs from the corner of the LCD to the inverter board.)
I'm currently taking mine apart as we speak. I'm stuck right now and wondering if you could help. It had a nasty accident where the display was ripped completely free of the bottom pan. I have the new display, LCD, wifi and display cable but I cant figure out what steps to take to reconnect the display/iSight cable to the bottom pan. I would be SO greatful if you could give me a pointer! Thank you for all your vids!
BTW: it almost looks like the area that it (the data/iSight cable) needs to be plugged into is under the superdrive?? Not sure. Any help would be really appreciated! Thx again!
You'll need to disassemble the entire unit including the display assembly. You'll need to watch most of our videos on the Macbook as we do have the complete disassembly in videos.
Thank you again! I realized after watching that the display cable can only be removed from the board after the optical drive is unplugged/removed. I really appreciate the vids. I work with Macs all day, everyday and never realized that.

@rikinoki - You most likely need to replace your inverter cable.
