  • Very good, thank you. But in the future, you might want to label the name of your video more descriptively, to indicate that you are reviewing a specific aspect of the bullet (that being terminal performance), not a full "bullet review", which would imply terminal performance AND accuracy/external performance. Also, they are NOT "supposed to be "interbonded" - these have a locking indentation in the lead (plus the cannelure indentation), NOT any bonding process.

  • water's about the toughest test on bullets, its like shooting a rock. whats your muzzel velocity & longest shot you'd be taking?

  • @dieseljunkie62

I have not measured it but the Hornady reloading book says it should be 2800 FPS. I do understand that water may be extra hard on bullets. My concern with this bullet is more about the led separating from the copper than the total mass left. I am truly seeking information.

  • @MrChad1393 shooting water is like shooting concrete at that velocity this review is not at all accurate you need to shoot in to something that is more like tissue and bone and then you will find a better weight retention

  • @sgtjones

Ya I agree. I think he should go see if he can get some bums off the street for ballistic testing so we can finally get some real life testing done :)

  • @freestylmx311 - • you said "Ya I agree. I think he should go see if he can get some bums off the street for ballistic testing so we can finally get some real life testing done :)" What is wrong with you? You really have some problems to even think stuff like that. Are you 10 years old? Maybe you should just volunteer yourself.

  • @MrChad1393

It was a joke stupid ass

  • @freestylmx311 - What you didn’t think what I said was funny too?

  • @sgtjones - Ok I did. I didn’t video it but I still have the bullet. I shot an elk just a short time ago. I shot it at 400 yds and placed the bullet perfectly in the kill zone. I am extra concerned about killing the game quickly. It after a second looked like it may get up so I put another one into it but the angle was such that I shot it from the front and was able to recover the bullet. I haven’t weighed it but it is just smaller than the one on this video. Can’t argue with that.

  • @MrChad1393 - What I am hoping to learn is it this normal? And is it acceptable for shooting game at long range. This is the second elk that I have taken with this bullet but if I am going to shoot form farther will it work? Any comments would be helpful.

  • My goal is to be able to take an animal at 1000 yds. I don’t know that I would actually try it but that is the goal. With the 338 win mag I think that it should be possible as long as I’m not shooting elk sized game.

  • Is this safe to be shooting animals with?

I am not a forensic scientist

If you have any insights let me know.

  • @MrChad1393 yes it is safe to be shooting animals with. I am getting 2935 fps with the 225 grain sst and the seperation and exlposiveness only adds further to them being anchored, while the copper staying together gives you penetration. And its a 338 win mag, an unbonded match bullet that turns to dust on impact would still knock anythinh on its ass. just my 2 cents
