The music is better on Paulas version but as always she uses way too much auto tune where as kylie doesn't need too, if only the backing track was switched kylie's version would win hands down.

First, this one is very distorted (overloaded), and second, the music is performed terribly (without bass, etc.). Its a total K.O. for a song entitled: "I'm Just Here For The Music". I don't wonder why Kylie was not happy with it. (Though her singing is good - as always.)

Paula's version is correct, actually good. The bass line is in its place, and moves us to dance.

To be honest I prefer this version, Paula Abdul doesn't even sing and her version is too much flat and rigid. Don't get what is better about that one.

well here's a thing, paula abdul wrote Spinnig around for Kylie which made Kylie her comeback to the music scene in 2000 and so, i think that it's fair that paula sang one of kylie track that was suppose to be kylie's but it didn't happen.

In all honesty Paula pulled the song off better than Kylie, but I think Kylie has the better voice. As for performance, I think Paula's way better in choreo and stuff but I mean Kylie's also good at putting on a show, so I don't really care. The problem I have is the song itself, I don't see it being a hit. I think it was good of Paula to not release a video for it. I mean, compare this to Straight Up... .Straight Up is like 20 years old and 20 times better than this.

My two cents - Paula was a bit better with this song, even though Kylie is a far superior singer/performer. Overall, this is a crap song - it won't be on the ipod.

Paula doesn't know what to do. If you listen to Paula's version you can listen to the base of the song (the base is from FIVE, the song If Ya Getting Down) so Paula has not imagination at all. Covering a Kylie song and stealing FIVE's base of that song. Paula, you better keep it in your closet! Kylie's version is the original one and remember that this song is a DEMO. Kylie's 1000 times better.

@MrBubuni According to Wikipedia the Paula Abdul version samples Indeep's 1982 hit 'last night a DJ saved my life' and the Wikipedia page about the song strangely makes no mention of the base from the five song 'if ya getting down' which is odd. I'm guessing it means that Paula samples both the base line of 'if ya getting down' and 'last night a DJ saved my life' in her version, although I've only heard Kylie's version and not Paula's version.

Fuck it, both versions are great in their own respective way. Kylie's has a more retro 80's-Sheila E. groove to it, where as Paula's has a slutronica-shake your ass vibe. u guys r just haters, kylie is great, but her version is not as cool and enjoyable as paula's, she worked out the song way better, and i'm no trying to say i don't like kylie, but think about this, paula and kara dioguardi wrote "can't get you out of my head" for her, it was about time for her to give paula thanks with a cool song, and there u go. just enjoy music, don't fuck with kylie or paula, they're great, remember that paula saved kylie's career back then, now right back at her.

I'm with you, this is really just a bad song no matter who sings it. If forced, I'd pick this one over Paula's but I really hate them both about equally.

Kudos to Paula though, if at 47, she can still turn the guys on at the bar! ;-)

obviously you have never heard kylie perform live?? becuz it is INSANE...oh and LIVE!!! wtf was that hot mess that paula performed on IDOL?? never showed her mouth and singing with 2 mics (yes i know one was a prop..the one attached to her the whole time. LOL) but seriously, kyle is an amazing performer live and releases crazy amounts of hits after hits. let paula have this single that kylie never released...afterall, she's gonna need some help to get her "career" back on track.
