  • this guy has many great tunes..what a talent..enjoy my videos and music search "Joggyn Smyler" let us rejuvenate!

  • There is one thing to be sure of......Chuck Negron is a survivor.

Good to see him here; back........... doing what he does.

If in Rock & Roll Heaven, there is a special place for great lead singers,

CHUCK WILL BE THERE. This cat; along with his other two 3DN brothers.... DANNY and CORY, not to forget their legendary KICK ASS BAND; knew how to make hit records and their body of work, along with their personalities... are a true testimony to their well deserved LEGACY. Thanks AnthonyChiappone

  • 3 Dog Night didn't write ANY of their songs...Who cares..?? They were a great band and deserve to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame....They were a 70's icon

  • Dave Loggins, who wrote this song, is a cousin of Kenny Loggins.

  • My all-time favourite song ever. Chuck's voice is amazing, then, now and always.

  • My grandaddy died when I listened to this song the most...a memory boquet!! So beautiful and poetic!

  • Our memory bouqet is all we have ...pick a flower or memory from it and relive it...how bitterweet they can be, but they never fade, do they?

  • This song is just absolutely beautiful. I loved it when it first came out, and still love it now. Timeless.

  • Great song to slow dance too.

  • I was at this show.. sitting on the floor directly in front of the stage.. Also, met Chuck after the show. What a great guy- so nice to his fans..

  • Chuck sounds considerably different than he did when he first recorded this in 1972, but i'll have to admit, he still did a nice job on this...and they didn't change the key, either! ;)

  • As he said, he recorded this himself. Listen to the end of the record; all those beautiful harmonies are his voice. This also launched Dave Loggins career.

  • Actually Dave Loggins wrote Pieces of April. Paul Williams wrote "Old Fashioned Love Song" and "Out in the Country".

  • I'm amazed to see how many views this particular clip has. I always thought that "Piece of April" was one of the most underated songs TDN ever had. Such a beautiful song that is never played on the radio. I remember when it came out, I bought the single and I think it only went to number 20 on the Billboard chart. Nevertheless, a great song and Chuck is a great performer. Hopefully the entire band make it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as they deserve to be in :)

  • @AnthonyChiappone I think Paul Williams wrote this classic.

  • He's lucky he is alive with all the shit he put himself thru..........

  • i would have paid to see this free concert

  • What Chuck didn't mention is that this song was written by Dave Loggins, the same guy who wrote "Please Come to Boston (in the springtime)."

  • @jnecakes Thats true and Loggins and Messina used to perform it live!!

  • Chuck Negron.......The best there is!

  • I met Chuck, he signed his book, graced my sobriety coin, and gave me a recovery hug and chatted up the old hits that I helped promote during my 20 years in Radio. A memory I will NEVER forget.

  • Chuck Negron, is the voice, and face of Three Dog Night as far as far as I'm concerned.

  • @TOPOFFMAN Right on! x

  • @TOPOFFMAN Sorry, but if you look at all the videos of when the three were together, it took all 3 to make it work. One did not make the band. It was a team effort from all including the band behind them and it shows today as they are missing only one original member. Not one other band from the era can say that. I think there may be one reunion tour someday and that will be a great day.

  • @realfoneguy You are absolutely right TOP. Their harmonies TOGETHER were undeniably Rock n Roll Hall of Fame quality. Their talent was without a doubt top notch. Top 10 all-time. But it was ALL THREE singers, Chuck Negron, Cory Wells and Danny Hutton, whose voices blended so magnificently that made them such a success and all-time favorites. My favorite 3 Dog Night song. Thnx for post.

  • @kismet818

Completely agree. Chuck is great but without Cory and Danny these song just don't hold up. I saw the new Three Dog Night in Vegas and Cory sang lead, that guy can sing anything.

  • there is a place where those who touch our lives belong ,,, this man is right up there,, god bless,,,,,, a kindered soul

  • three dog night was the first concert i attended. 1971 in greensboro nc. it was a great time to be 16 years old!

  • Chuck, thanks for the memories... Your old friend Kevin

  • " I'll keep them in a MEMORY BOUQUET"=ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT !!!!!

  • glad he made it thru his hard times.

  • Love this song!

  • Chuck Negron tells his story about how he did Midnight Runaway and "Pieces of April by himself to finish the album Seven Separate Fools" album. Chuck puts a humorous spin on the story.

BEAUTIFUL PERFORMANCE OF "PIECES OF APRIL." This was a free concert. Those who attended said Chuck was generous with the entertainment as always.
