nice! howd you like it? i rode the 1200 4 tec last year at a demo and i thought it was really nice. think ill stick with the old fashion 2 strokers though!
These sound amazing! I have a 2004 Legend 500SS (600cc) and I love it.
What model were you riding? MXZ? Renegade? I'm looking at purchasing a 4-stroke Ski-Doo in the near future. How did you like the ride? Was it your first time on a 4-stroke or a Ski-Doo? Nice video!
Robb Tapps, I hate to be the bearer of bad new's but I have no idea where you get that Yamaha is the lightest. I love Yammi Four stroke reliability but light they are NOT! Four stroke's are all marginally heavier then comparable two's. Being why Yammi's are known for being the heaviest brand of sleds. Hard to start in the cold? not to sure about that either. Never heard, or seen them having (much) difficulty in cold before.
i have heard stories when yammi's wouldn't start in the extream cold. they said you have to take the battery out and warm it up(which i have heard takes an hour and a half to get it out) and i have heard some stories about issues with the chain case but im not sure if there true
huh??? what the hell are you talking about??? i used to work at a yamaha dealer with the mechanics and it does not take an hour and a half to get a battery out. and um... they start pretty damn good in the cold too..
thats just what i heard... myabe those guys just had cheap batteries and they were retarded and couldn't get the battery out idk... since you worked there you should know this... is it true that that they had problems with the chains letting go and f***king up the whole chain case?
any brand new quad/sled/ dirtbike the dealer has to pull out the battery and add acid (if neccessary) and charge it.. then once they put the unit together (handle bars etc) and check the fluids they take them for a ride.. sleds they lift them up with the forklift so the track is off the ground.. and to answer your question, not that i have heard.. when i worked there one of the mechanics built a customer a custom sled, and apparently he was going down the trail and the swingarm fell off..more
i have assembled grizzlies 550's and 700's, kodiak 450's, rhino 450's and 700's.. and its pretty easy actually.. the grizzly's you gotta put the front shocks, tires, handle bars, throttle brake levers etc on them, then when you got the battery back in after charging it just the fluids and fire it up and take it for a spin.. i have also bolted and wired up a few winches too.. also put a custom made plow mount on a rhino 700... put only god knows how many snow plows together..
I think that the sleds actually scream..... The prblem in his video is they took people who have never riden before and put them on a high powered sled. If i had been on there i would be waiting 4 five minutes at each intersection.
yamaha is heavy as hell, may as well be a tank, i ride polaris and i would go with them or skidoo anyday over a fricken yamaha, i speak for the people who like fast and light sleds, not people who own sleds that r practically tanks.

you are so wrong.. yamaha is the lightest.. but they are a bitch to start in the cold cause they are 4 strokes... BRP are heavyer but are easy to star...
Skidoo continues to impress me. I was waiting for the 4 stroke to debut eventually. Im a 2 stroke fan but Can't wait to get on one an see for myself !
I always get stuck with a new sleds. have to test the limit:) nice to know what it can do. the renagede 1200 looks sweet.. don`t think any other 4stroke will beat it in deep snow. look at hp and weight. not talking pain in the ass wide track snowmobiles.
don't give me thumbs down but, I love how they have a video about there 2-stroke motors being a lot better than 4-stroke motors saying there more reliable and get better gas mileage, but here they are now with a 4-stoke sled. I think its amusing because I own a ski-doo rev
man your stupid!!! did you not watch the videos??? the Rev-XP's have way to much power and is way to light to get stuck, if you do get stuck, then you dont know how to ride a snow machine.
there is no rev xp 1200 4tec

a stock SLP 1200 ran low 10sec 1/4mile on tar at 115mph... no stock nytro is hitting that!!!
giver11111111 3 years ago
The Nytro will be every bit as fast as the 4 tec if not faster!
ysld7 3 years ago
Ya the Nytro is like 10 lbs lighter and has eight more bhp so I'm not sure if will be much faster but it will certanley be 100% every bit as fast.
And as we all know a hell of a lot more durable and reliable!!
