i think i speak for most of us when i say gambits were slow paced annoyences especially compared to the paradigm system.while im on comparisons, thank god they didnt make you use the cristarium to equip.hey vaan! wanna equip the zodiac spear? well all you gotta do is face a ton of battles and waste your time on a system that doesnt make logical sense! seriously, i spend some weird points i got from some monsters and now i can wear a hat? who needs a board to tell them how to wear a hat?
I simply HATE insta-loss with a death of a single character. I don't care if it's the main character.
C'mon, why the other party members cannot just revive the fallen main character? It doesn't strenghten the bond between me and the main character, it is just inconsistent and annoying.
@melculrapid a time limit appears if you take too long to end a battle. they were maybe trying to prevent you from doing a mission or boss that you shouldnt at your current evolution by healing/protecting yourself like crazy the entire battle while dealing slow damage.
Basically, in my theory, you have attack slots that string in combos, after the combo string then its the enemies turn. and Paradine is when you have a time limit, in that time you have dish out as many aatcks as you can, after the time limit then the enemies.
But this is just my theory, i m going to preoreder during this week, i cant wait!
The paradime system is the role the character is assigned. You ONLY control the party leader, not bthe other two, however you are able to control and switch the AI's role through paradimes. This is called Paradigm Shift. The time limit is how long you have to string an attack together before the enime goes back into Optima state, if you beat that limit, then u get a bonous, where the enemie is in a weakened "stagger state"
@Hybridstaind124 It isn't, dont worry. Its actualy pretty easy for half of the game (thats a minus for me =/). The first 4-5 hours of play you'll actualy think its too dumb XD But thats only for you too get used to it. You only get to control the group leader (wich you can decide to be anyone, if you're outside battle) and sometime you can ativate "paradigm shift" to decide what their AI should concern about.

PhoenixSora9aOs3 1 year ago
@PhoenixSora9aOs3 certain bosses cast doom that kills you in a certain amount of time...and the curse is unbreakable...

@melculrapid They're talking about the time limit to get 5 stars

@Matt2501 I found out that t=bosses will cast doom if you take to long
melculrapid 1 year ago
@melculrapid I see, I didn't know that to be honest. Then again I'm not that far in the game. Thanks for pointing that out.

I already pre-ordered it, but thus far the battle system sounds confusing to me. I'm hoping when I get my hands on it though I'll enjoy it.

Paradigm shifts are like switching a characters battle orientation like from attacker to healer or from healer to blaster.
I will do a more in depth description of the battle system on my channel closer to release date.
