its called snakedasshing. dash by hitting down on the c stick (or downsmash) then quickly follow with upsmash. it can be done without c sticking but you have to be faster

Omfg I'm dying to know how can Snake characters or others can do the sliding before the Usmash, is it a cancel? is it wavedashing? I was told wavedashing in Brawl is gone but I don't even know what it is!! I'm a good player but I don't know all those terms about Canceling and Dashing of any sort!! I'm sick of not knowing how to do it!! >=(

it is a form of cancelling. what you do is you dash attack, but cancel it with an upsmash, since you can upsmash out of running, but due to physics and overall coding, you keep the momentum of the dash attack. it requires fast hands and practice, but the easiest way i find is (using the gamecube controller) c-stick down, then immediatly up-z. some characters i havent quite gotten the timeing down on, but with a bit of practice it isnt too hard.

lol yeah thanks, I'm pretty good at it now with Snake only, I used always the GameCube controller =P. I dash then use C stick front to dash attack then C stick up to do Usmash. Yeah I can do it good now BUT only when I hit something since it kinda freezes for a fraction of a second so I can perform the Usmash but how does he do it on nothing? and he does it so fast too lol well I could do it that fast once I get it good. And what did you mean with c-stick down then up-z?

when running, cstick down to dashattack, then, instead of up-c-stick to up smash, hit up and z(the trigger that isnt r or l) then you do an upsmash, hold z to charge the upsmash. by hitting up z instead of c-sticking up, you have your other fingers move, so they can begin the electric signals your brain sends before you want to upsmash, since the pulses take time to reach your hands. or if that was a bit too complicated(which it might be)

wierd, my replies have been failing lately. so chris evil, basically what i said was by doing each part of the attack with multiple fingers, you can perform it faster, fast enough so that you dont need the frame extension that occurs when attacks connect. keep up the practice, you'll get it. also, when the technique was first discovered, no one knew how to do a hit free slide either.

Man I've watched this video so many times, it's just put together really well. What program do you use for editing?

Btw at 0:19-0:20 did you try mortar sliding but not up-a ing fast enough? I hate it when that happens; I c-stick to mortar slide so sometimes I just end up diving or planting a mine if I don't do it fast enough which leaves me open.

And I use Adobe Premiere CS3. I bought it off a friend who had two copies for $10. I got lucky :P
