many people didnt resonate with him,, just like all of us,, but to those who did at least in some space of time,, in the moment,, anyways i am smiling to see all this reconnection to mr butch here online, even though i just see tonight and read of his crashing,,, lol,, i know he would be joiking about that whole experience if he was still there to poeticize it,, so im laughing,, smiling,, thinking,, so funny how we crossed paths several times in this life,, one you never forget,,,
i remember his girlfreind rorm back then too,, blonde hair tiny girl,, they had a very strange and bizarre relationship,, wonder what ever happened to her,,, we used to speak in an esoteric philosophical spiritual refernecd language to one another,, (character limit reached-continued next posting) a few times id run into someone form boston when i lived out west and id alwaays be pleasantly surprised that they knew who he was ,, he became iconic,, he already was when i knew him,,
i used to hang out in the streets back in day with mr butch,, back in 1981 ,, we would hang out in close to corner of comm ave and harvard ave,, always in and out of macys liquors for our beers,, way back when,, butch was a kindred spirit,,we danced in the streets then,,, spiritual under it all,, im sure thats why he was so beloved,, sometimes hed come crashing through my apartment window on comm ave drunk as drunk can be,, fall on the floor,, piss on himself,, and stinking pretty bad,,..
very nice of everyone,but u only famous when u die and thats pathetic. im sure theres alot of people that treated him like crap and are trying to redeem themselves by attending hs wake.....lets hope people remember u,NOT!
This is the first thing i've seen in a long while taht makes me sorry i wasn't in boston for it- boston's a destroyed wreck of gentrification and rich people these days- pulls my homesick heart-strings to see so many REAL people turned out to play music and have a wake for Mr. Butch- used to talk to him every couple days, i miss him, yeah. . . . .
Wow, who else would have such a turnout! It's amazing that all these peopel had some connection to Mr. Butch! Blows my mind... what a unique figure! There's somethign ehre that should always be cherished and never forgotten! Did anyone film the speeches inside the church?
Mr. Butch will be missed.. RIP Mr. Butch. It was an amazing turn out. Thank you to those who organzied sucha wonderfull celebration of Mr. Butch's life. Thank you to all those who showed up.
