  • hard to hear over the music

  • Wish some 52 practitioners would come to Cincinnati I would love to learn that. It would go well with my boxing training

  • The history of most martial arts system is just folk lore and oral tradition. the europeans are the one who authenticate truth with paper and ink. this is African American culture being presented to the mainstream. KEEP ON BUILDING BROTHA'S YOU LOOK GOOD!

  • @Rasepreme thank you

  • this shit got me ready to go outside and smash something!!!!!! i love it. theres nothin better than being the asiatic blackman! maker owner cream of the planet earth father of civilization god of the universe!!!!!!! word is bond!!!777

  • @moorishjitsu yet you accuse intelligent blacks of acting white...what a joke.

  • where is there more footage of big k sparring

  • look at the 52 blocks elemental clip

  • @FarisiDaniel WHO IS THIS?FEDOR, KIMBO.......? IT"S SAME KHIND OF CHAMPION MMA? WHY DON"T YOU FAIGHT

  • @piticMcristian would love to knuckle up peace

  • 52 Blocks vs Stato Fist, a documentary on the history 52 Blocks in America, email danielmarks52@yahoo(dot)com to get a free viewer password to watch it online.

  • I have done research on the entire time line of the martial arts and there is no evidence to support this. In fact I am writing a research paper on this, coupled with my 30 years involved with the arts. Slaves have been around for close to 20 thousand years, and a fighting style never developed because of it. Styles that came out of bondage are: Muay Thai, Silat, Kung Fu, Kalari, Krav Maga, Pankration, Savate, Capoeira, Jujitsu, Wrestling, JKD, Kyokushin and Boxing.

  • When you do your paper give us a call we will tell you where to look. To learn this history you will need to learn the proper search terms. Hint: Remember in those days African Americans were called 'Negroes'. If you search hard you will find it took Constellation about 10+ years to find the truth, we can help you if you would like some guidance.

    Peace.

  • What fight experience do you have? Here is mine: High school wrestling, boys club boxing, backyard boxing, NYC AAU champion in full contact karate 85,86.88. Black belt in Vee Jitsu. Corrections Officer for 25 years, now a private detective at the age of 50. I am often outspoken but I am convinced about what works and what does not. I have met up with jail house fighters and my mixed knowledge has help me plenty of times when riots have happened and with one on one encounters.

  • @clearcombat

You say it is badly thought out. At the same time, there are people who utilize this very same form in real life encounters of all kinds and prevail. Besides which, the butterfly slightly resembles the movements one sees in panantukan, which I know from personal experience is deadly effective.

Examine the angles, the blocking, the parrying and countering, all done with flow at real speed. I see the reflexes 52 enhances when trained in properly.

  • In Muay Thai Baron it is called the flower and it has been around for over one thousand years. Stop making fraudulent claims and trying to adhere 52 with ancient styles of combat that work well. Open up a center, that is the way to bring some respect to it. Then engage in combat locally with other centers. Build from there

  • I don't need to say alot here Clear but at the 5:05 mark to 5:51 there is no MT in 52. footwork. to offense nothing that we do is MT. I thought a season vet could see that.

    Peace

  • @clearcombat:

    I made no fraudulent claim.

52 has been proven to work well under extreme conditions.

I personally happen to train in a system which shares a connection with Thai Boran, and recognize any and every systematized means of combat that works.

I happen to see the commonality in certain types of movements, regardless of where they came from and appreciate the fact that they work no matter what one calls them. Of course 52 isn't muay thai...but it works.

  • Well Now So one who Trained with Prof David James. an a Elder of mine by a few years. Reach out I can Clear up the things that you have been missing about what we do

    Peace

  • @FarisiDaniel

I'm quite certain that Prof. James wouldn't be as dismissive of 52.

  • @clearcombat

whatever man... am starting to think 52 is getting all this flak from people because they see black people doing it, and everyone including our people are CONDITIONED to not accept a black man. we took over ALL of your sports even golf and tennis so why is it when we make our own you say its useless. i dont see anyone talking down on capoeira or BJJ which were also created by black people or should i say HEBREW people. THEY CANT STOP US WE ARE COMING TO OUR RIGHTFUL POSITION

  • @clearcombat

My sources are varied and most from the southern US, but this is by way of the oral tradition common in Black culture. The fact that you haven't found "documentation" on something doesn't nullify the likelihood of it's existence-much the same way that most discussions on martial arts/culture typically never deal with African martial arts, though fighting forms in Kemet & Nubia (Egypt & Sudan region) predate most known asian systems.

  • first off the movement is called the butterfly. and it's a tight bridge when done correctly. watch our elemetal clip. two our science is on the square as our movement moves through the four corners. You have failed to see the art because you have been watching others play with styles... THE FOUNDATION CLEARS UP THAT POINT OF VIEW

    peace

  • It is the way you promote it with very little skill. 52 is already putting vids together, first put together a training center. You are packaging it before you have a fully developed product.

  • @clearcombat:

    Well...

Mr. Marks (in the vid) has a military background, as well as years of study in various martial arts (boxing, karate, jujitsu & others).

He also conducts seminars and teaches 52.

As far as being "fully developed," 52 has been developing (in various forms, with various nomenclature) since slavery.

So I'm not sure where you're coming from with that argument...unless it is indeed just that hard for you to believe Black people could develop a fighting system.

  • You are showing your insecurity when you bring race into it. The fact of the matter is that you need documentation of your claims, without it, you are in a position to become like Moni Azik of Command Krav Maga. His claims are not valid and he is being regarded as a complete fraud. He is claiming to be an co-founder of New Krav Maga. and in reality he never studied Krav and made up a lot of claims like he was a commando soldier in the IDF. Call it 52, fine, don't claim it as an ancient art.

  • 52 is not Krav Maga, it did not start as another art that only focus on self defense. Self defense is a way of life when you face peril around every corner.

as for the name 52 it's not ancient the core of its techniques are as they are connected to our Culture, and FIghting Practices that survived here IN THE WEST. So before you make the claim that we are reaching for straws why not ASK ABOUT THE RESEACH AND THE TONS OF DOCUMENTS THAT HAVE BEEN PRODUCE ON THE SUBJECT

    PEACE

  • @clearcombat ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THERE IS NO ONE MORE ANCIENT THEN US SO YOU NATIONS OUTSIDE OF US SHOULD STOP WATCHING AND GET YOUR OWN. OUR FATHERS HAVE ALWAYS PUT A ANCIENT FOOT OFF IN THAT ASS AND ITS COMING AGAIN TO A THEATER NEAR U. I LOVE THIS SOMEONE PLEASE GET A DEAL IN MMA SO WE CAN CONQUER THESE CHILDREN. ISRAEL ITS ALL COMING BACK NOW DANCE ON EM.

  • Education is paramount in the martial arts, 52 blockers need to be educated. The original name was Jailhouse Rock. This was a prison fighting system. Why not stay out of jail and learn to box and grapple. The flying arms of the 52er will get him knocked out or choked out very fast.

  • Remember though,

Before JHR, enslaved Africans had fighting styles on the plantation ("barnyard" or "knocking"). I have heard stories passed down about plantation overseers who would fight slaves like they would fight roosters for money...just not to the death.

Like capoeira in Brazil, many enslaved Africans in America passed on elements of their native fighting skills.

From one institution (slavery) to another (prison)...this may have been the foundation of Jailhouse Rock.

  • @Clearcombat the original name wasn't JHR that was a song by Elvis. And Prison has nothing to do with this style of fighting other than for a time it took place within the prisons. Constellation has been in the business of revealing the missing pages of history . The key is first you have to study the available information, then read in between the lines. Hint: Brazil was just one stop on the route, so new places produced new arts, all with similarities in movement (same origin, same creators

  • Hasn't happened you know why. because we know what we are doing.

    peace

  • Wow! Only in America. This art is a mixture of kung fu movies and the poobutt mentality. I wish you guys the best. The best way to figure out if your art has some real significance is to step into mma competition or something. Hey, as long as it gives you discipline and self-confidence then keep on.

  • Yes this is an American combative culture it precedes instruction of kung fu and judo in the US and is the only surviving martial culture developed in the US. Do you homework you sound ignorant, why not ask why instead of badmouthing what you don't understand.

  • Also can't you tell these brothers have a strong boxing base, that's how i can tell your not a fighter washppnin a real fighter can see skill. Mr. Farisdaniel forget these computer fighters keep up the good work . It upsets me when people from a gun toting era totally ignorant of an art form that has been proven in real life and death situations pass jugdement come to new york and learn the history of 52 stop disrespecting these positive brothers or are you a racist cracker, peckerwood HOTEP

  • "stop disrespecting these positive brothers or are you a racist cracker, peckerwood "

What a brilliant answer, dumbass: answer a racist comment with another.

  • First it was a question not an answer and I am for my people uplifting RBG hardcore from the Craft of AMEN RAH chump

  • Homie this shit is garbage!! Quit tryiing to find any black fighter that's popular and say he does "52 blocks". Why don't you cats have the balls to step in the ring or cage? Hell even just do a boxing match or kickboxing match and you will get smashed. This shit is not effective at all and that is why none of you have ever fought in professional mma, boxing, or kickboxing.

  • Do your homework. No one likes an uninformed comment it makes you sound ignorant. When you have done your research come back with a real question and we will answer it.

    Peace

  • Peace Mr. washppnin why the disrespect I boxed as an amatuer in the early 80s some of the best fighters never became anything because the fight game is one of discpline. We all knew of jailhouse and would incoporate certain aspects in our games it's funny fighters like Hopkins, Tyson, Zab. floyd Patterson, will all admit to knowing jailhouse, I want you to look at floyd mayweather I know you don't know it but his defense is 52 before you speak do some historic research you are horribly wrong

  • is there still no footage of 52 vs fighters who are really testing it?

  • rashad evans does 52. i think he has a few fights..its basically wing chun wit different footwork and more hip hop influence

  • If anyone is interested in what 52 is and isnt check out 52Blocks (dot) TV. 52 is not basically wing chun with hip hop influence, it was in the United States before Wing Chun gained any popularity and predates hip hop by decades if not centuries. The information is out there if anyone is interested in asking the question why.

    Peace.

  • slap boxin

  • its gotta GO .. if u thinking about it you moving too SLOW!!

  • okay a body punch drill make it realistic dude is not going to be standing there he going to try to ret an overhook on your rightside and pop with his right leg and drive you to the cage and use the bounce of the cage to lift you up and slam you be realistic and i will love to show you what I mean you teach boxing 52 cut the mma cause thats not your thing peace

  • sounds good to me

    peace

  • that cage scene the dude has no exprience in the cage cause you left yourself open for a takedown come on man stick strictly to 52 don't started saying you going to start making mma instr video get real stick to what yoy know

  • First off that was a body punching drill. Still, we love it when folks think they can step in for the shoot . Love it. How about you come give it a try. In fact check out our new Instructional DVD on 52 Blocks for MMA we would love your critique.

    Peace

  • interesting, i would like to learn this

  • if you want to kow more about 52 blocks. check out kazuko martial arts in maryland.

  • where can i buy some vids to up my boxing?

  • Fwape (dot) com

  • Hey, thanks so much for this vid. Might be my fav'. There is one portion where you can see how the 52 hand movements could be used to get in and do some nasty ish. I think if you just add the finishing moves in your mind, to the blocking forms and movements, it could be vry effctve.

Altho it seems much better suitd for tight spaces, as said.

Great clip guys. I'm'a check all the ones i missed

  • Nice work, Daniel. When I get my money up, I wanna come see you and K in NY for some real instruct. I'm tired of doing "elements of" in the mirror : - ) ! Peace.

    Severe Poetry

  • come through, or try to make MD it's closer

  • I remember that, K can move 4 a big guy. D Marks, it was good sparring wit ya.

    -Right hand Mike

    Osu!!!

  • #3

if you are only concerned with...beating someone or proving yourself then you have learned only a fraction of what this or any art is trying to teach - dude stop dissin and start seeing, just as much the road traveled outside is the road to travel inside. Peace Dude

  • #2

so don't expect them to, and the way you worded they should spar each other? dude they are brothers, so far it seemsas though 52 the ultimate teaching is basica;lly about bringing peopel together it's not about only fighting, it is about away of life - it is a system of thought like Bruce Lee said - fighting is no different from chess or deciding a\how to turn thisway ot that, a pucnor techinique comes and you have to thing how to solve that, itis also mathematics -

  • Just a suggestion, but why don't you show footage of you and Big K sparring? After looking at this a couple of times the people who he sparred with don't look very skilled. It would be a much better representation if the two of you would go at it. All these sparring vids never show 2 52 practitioners move around.

  • no problem, but come and join us and get some work in too

  • one day my brother one day, keep it peace brother peace brother

  • sorry for my other comments bro, peace Farisi

  • no problem it's about community, Peace

    all comments are welcome...

    One

  • dude i don't mean to be rude but these pracftiioners are not out there to prove themselves - why do you cut on these guys? They are pretty cool, I said some well alot of stupid things over the air to them before but in the deep dude we are all humangot feelings - so do they - theyare just trying to promote their art - you know why don't you show something? The one thing I know is thatif you dont shw yourself, then don;t judge critisize another and ask them to do what you dont you dont show...

  • You must have taken my comment wrong. I gave them props on this video I was just making a suggestion on something they could do to help silence those who think this fighting style is fake. I know that a big complaint is that you never see 2 experienced practitioners spar. Not just so we can se them fight but to see effective defense in action on both parts. That was all I was trying to say. I've know about this style since my youth and want to see it get the respect is derserves.

  • Then I apologize for reading the comments the wrong way. And I appreciate for being a strong proponent in the 52 community. I hear you on the sparring which we do in our camps. Now we have cats that are ready to get their strips. So expect more sparring clips.

    Peace

  • me too bro, i am sorry for reading wrong too, you must be good at tai chi, you deflected my aggressive comment and turned it to be positive, you are good bro, and take care, Blackfoot71, Bjon123abc

  • By far your best video. Thats what the 52 non believers needed to see. I hope this has shut up a lot of non believers. Peace

  • You are giving them a LOT on this one! Lets see what the copycats come back with...Constellation keeps shining!

  • All these haters make me laugh, bet most of them can't fight for shit anyways. Keep posting them videos man, protect ya chin and check another....

  • Mr Samid said it best, these clowns who claim to be "martial arts experts" have no real amateur combat experience. Foolin around on a bag or sparrin wit some whack ass kids from the street dont make you a fighter. Ive seen young kids like 7 years old in the boxing gym in starret city brooklyn who would tear these asses up. The only reason why people support this whack shit is because they wanna feel like they are apart of something, 52 blocks to the hospital thats for damn sure

  • It aint "wack shit " and trust me when I tell you there are real fighters that put work in using the 52.

  • well now a 7 year old... I was thinking more like your age... come and play, we have cats that want to play in the real ring.

    soon bruh.

  • If you can't recognize the jewels being given then your not a real martial artist I love this video keep it up peace.

  • PURE FIRE!!!!!

  • I like this vid i gotta get my 52 skills up

  • No shots to the head, nor stomach ... The guys aren't in the same weight classes either ... The tall brother in the white would be getting hit with mad hook to the ribs ... If a person fakes like their going to throw a straight jab & changes up to a body head combo, it'll be 52 blocks to the hospital ... Get some real boxers to test this style of blocking!!!

  • They're doing a demo man. This is no near all we do. It is only a demo. You know, like..."there's more than ONE to skin a ca?" Well this is one of those ways. Peace.

  • Evidently you don't know how to box other wise you wouldn't have made this comment hater.

  • NIce

  • Comment removed

  • ha. I dare em to say something now, ya'll be dropping jewels for a minute but at this point...if you can't see the science, go ahead and buy yourself a cane cause you're just blind to what's in front of you.

  • 52 BLOCKS all day.

i would love to master 52 blocks.

  • Ive seen a few of these videos.. I never understood them..

Is this a particular fighting style?
