couples danced to this at their wedding in the 50's-60's and it conveyed love then, but the emotion of love never dies so 100yrs from now it will still convey love and people will dance to it at their wedding then
Fantastic. harmonies, feeling, heart and soul...all the way through. no auto tune, just pure, classy vocals. The harmonies always amaze me. This song sends a chill down my spin all these years later. What talent........ to quoteanother fan, "hurts so good". Thanks for posting.

That was absolutely great, very good live. Of course almost all the singers from the fifties and sixties sound great live, because there were no voice enhancers, or computer voice changing additives, it was all real and and it was all great.
I hope all these video's are here to stay. They are so much of the evolution of music. When you were a teenager during the 60's it takes on a whole different meaning.
I am 28 years old & I listened to the oldies growing up, but mostly as a kid. I never forgot this song, for this song is too good to be forgotten! I just LOVE this song!!!!! These men had one hell of a voice!
im 21 years old and this is music .. msuic of my generation is somewhat garbage.. new artist you never heard of like just in bieber go to top stardom... people jsut dont have talent like these guys here.... 50s and 60s music- 90s rocked. 2000s no so much
Hall & Oates did a cover of it that I like... have can only guess about why someone would play it at a wedding reception... maybe just because it's such a great tune.
Go sniff your mother's undies for the scent of dried shit and menstrual blood, then lick one of mommy's used tampons. By the bye, you are blocked from my profile. i see from your profile you are a special ed child. That explains alot . . .
Aw, is pimple butt obsessed about having the last word? Sorry, pimples, ain't gonna let you have it 'cause i know how bad you want it. You are desperate for my approval which is why you shovel your shit onto the comments board. Go sniff your mom's undies for the smell of shit and menstrual blood, then take out your tampon and suck on it. Although what gives you the most pleasure is being an asshole and having the last word. You will prove me right by replying in about 20 sec. Fuck you!
Talking about yourself again? First, asshole, i'm not 53. You must have deduced that from my ID which ends in 1956. Just one more example of you assuming--making an ass out of yourself. Don't bullshit me that you are twenty. You are probably a special needs child who is about 12 who borrows mommy's computer. i suspect you are a pimple-faced, mentally disturbed little brat obsessedscataologica. i DON'T forgive you because there is nothing to forgive: you can't help being born that way.
I never even spelled that word, dumbass!!!!! I have a question for YOU..do you have any kind of a life whatsoever? I've really had fun laughing at you. You're probably sitting in your underwear eating cheetos, getting fatter and thinking of stupid shit to say to a complete stranger on the internet!!! How sad is that??? Now that's it, I'm not letting you bait me on here any longer. It has nothing to do with the music and it does not bother me in the least. You perverted old bastard!!!
You're right tampon nose, you didn't spell it, just not correctly. The word is "orifice" not "orfice." i suppose you are too dumb to use Microsoft Word and your paper dictionary is covered with shit from you using to wipe you ass and then licking it. You are not in your 20's, becuase no 20-year-old would act like such a shithead as do you. More like 12 with raging hormones that make her an embarrassment to her special ed teachers. Last word, asshole!
You are a goddamn, motherfuckin', shit-eating rectal orifice. (Get the word right, moron: it's "orifice," as in opening, not "orfice," as in Thurman can't spell for shit. Go choke on some dick and have a porcupine lick your cunt, you unshaven menstruating putrid asshole. Bitch, got news for you: everytime you post a comment to me, back at you. An amazing amazing song, don't think we appreciated the talent back then, but we sure knew what we liked.
So I first heard this back in '65 on my little transistor radio, up in my room, while my parents had a party downstairs, tonight I watch this on my laptop up in my room while my kid has a party downstairs.
I heard these guys sing in a Bowling Alley in Orange County in 1964 before anyone knew who they called themselves The Rightous Bros. They never sang this this but they had a pretty good repertoire back then.
Wow. I had forgotten how really great they were. I also never realized how georgeous they were, If you didn't catch Shindig, American Bandstand or Ed Sullivan, all you got was photos. When I was very young, my friends and I competed on the playground to see if anyone could sing both parts. Right.
This song is NUMBER ONE all-time in radio airplay in America. Bigger than the Beatles, the Stones, even Elvis ... And the music in the background is all Phil Spector, who devised the "wall of sound" treatment to really make the music rich sounding on AM radio.
It doesnt get any better than this. Has to be on the top 10 of the 20th century music for sure. Tremendous harmony, blue eyed soul from 2 great singers.
In an interview with the songwriters, they noted that Bobby Hatfield completely ad-libbed his part (at 2:26 in the Shindig video) during the recording session. They knew they had written a great song, but at that moment they knew they had a classic.
If you really want to fuck up this song, just put an Indian accent to it... and try singing it... e a bucetinha das gatinhas histéricas na platétia loukinhas para dar... retro-piriguetes...
great soong...i blasted this music in my car stereo on my way down to the beach this summer and I was getting looked at from all corners by people passing by... a guy in his 20s listening to music from the 50s..I dont care cuz it sounds aw3esome and reminded me of the top gun scene with tom cruise
Great musical tallent can be defined not by how one dresses, how one performs, but by how effortless you can sing and carry a tune to perfection. These two guys, AGES ahead of any musical artist of today, effortless music, I dont care how old or young one is, this is music perfection !!!

great soong...i blasted this music in my car stereo on my way down to the beach this summer and I was getting looked at from all corners by people passing by... a guy in his 20s listening to music from the 50s..I dont care cuz it sounds aw3esome and reminded me of the top gun scene with tom cruise

I understand your meaning, but this is from the '60's. Big difference between the 50's and 60's.

Great musical tallent can be defined not by how one dresses, how one performs, but by how effortless you can sing and carry a tune to perfection. These two guys, AGES ahead of any musical artist of today, effortless music, I dont care how old or young one is, this is music perfection !!!

These two created musical magic. This brings back some great memories. Now I need to find Unchained Melody - best song ever.
