  • can i ask about the title of this music ,i love the music!!

  • TaRe..

  • She was angry at first, because he couldnt fulfill her expectations. After time she reached out to him, letting him live his own life. A great message. thanks.

  • old ladys a good actor

  • I love this so much video! Thanks for sharing!

  • I guess it's a lot easier for a gay person living in the 21st century than it used to be in the 20th...it's become more accepted and I'm glad it has :)

They are still people and should be treated equally. :3

  • Great movie and acting!! I love it! I wish everyone that comes out gay could have a family like that! I love the granny too and Chanukah with Christmas lights :-)

  • So sweet. Great message of acceptance and understanding :)

  • I didn't got this movie. I mean somehow I missed the end. What's about the granny: does she agree now?

  • @luticia yeah, I think she finally accepted him. She was saying that the book was disgusting, and at first he took it offensively, but then she said "yeah, disgusting! it says some of the parents don't love the children anymore!"

  • yes, at the end she says the book is disguisting, and the guy at first thinks she is saying its disguisting because it talks about gays

but then she says its dusgusting that some parents stop loving their children after finding out.

  • yes, she does

  • yeah she agrees with it

  • She still loves him no matter what he does.

  • Juz pay attention about what she says in the end in the movie.. :)

  • it was wonderfully refreshing to see the parents being so supportive, the grandma was positively delightful and the ending simultaneously breaks and mends my heart. Having read the story before seeing the film it's a pretty accurate interpretation i find... such a wonderful commentary on the tolerance and progress that still needs to be made... it's stories like this that help us believe that there's hope :)

  • Beautiful, absolutely beautiful

  • The gay guy looked like Freddy Mercury hahaha!! Good Story, love the Grandma!!

  • very good!

  • 8:20 was priceless...I'm straight but I'm thinking of sharing this with my lesbian and gay friends...if only every family could be so accepting, life would be better for everyone...TFS:-)

  • Beautiful! Love granny

  • I didn't understand the story but I loved the music!

  • Its about him being his grannys fave, then when she finds out he's gay.. She thinks he's totally something she never imagined him and she didn't accept him for a while. When she started reading the book and realizing her grandson was still the same person she accepted it because in the book she read that some people don't accept their children, and never forgive them. Realizing that she didn't accept him (like in the book), and she didn't wanna fuck up that bad just cause he's gay.

  • i love the music!

  • Awh, I wish my Dad could be like that.

  • *giggles* Yay for happy endings to touching stories...I can...identify with the main character a bit. Unfortunately, I highly doubt I'll ever get the response his grandmother gave from ANYONE in my family.

    Lovely film.

  • if your gay then be proud of it. I'm straight but I very much respect gay people. When a family doesn't like the fact that one of their family members are gay its usually always comes down to being afraid of what they don't understand plus the media doesn't do a thing for it. Again be proud. Your equal to every other person on the face of this earth.

  • Despite some dodgy zooms that was actually pretty goood. A good mood around the whole thing

  • Honestly. It was alright. Of course we should never stop loving children or grandchildren no matter what, but it was average at best to be honest.

  • yyyed

  • this is stupid

  • great! Two thumbs up!

  • What the grandmother said made me cry my eyes out. I love this video!

  • Oh yes. Great movie!

  • The last this said by grandma brought tears to my eyes. It was beautiful and an excellent ending.

  • I liked it.Well done...

  • aww this is a cute story

  • Talented cast and director. Keep making more movies!

  • very nice

  • Been there, did same........as a mother and now as a grandma.......family sould love unconditionally. Video gets this important message across !!!!

  • Very nice !

  • That was very good! many short films lack good stories but this was a wonderful story

  • thanks; I liked the short story alot;

  • This is wonderful!!! Everyone is great, especially Shawn!! Go team!

  • good

  • Very Well Made. Very well made! Interesting, you should produce a series of 10 minute short stories :) ITS AWESOME!!

  • corny

  • wow..great movie

  • aww, that is such a wonderfull story! <3

  • i thought it was a well put together mini movie. hope to see more of your work. excellent.

  • very good. I enjoyed it a lot. And, yes, had some tears at the end.

  • How wonderful!

"he cant come to the phone, hes telling grandma that hes gay"

Had to watch it again, thought it was great. Thanks

  • Grand was wonderful. If all families could reach this point of understanding and love. I am heterosexual and really like this short.

  • that was sweet :) Now I can go to bed with some happy thoughts! :D

  • What a wonderful sweet story!

  • Rated NR? am i the only one seeing this at the top left part of the page, above the video?

    what's NR stand for?

  • aw, how cute! i love it

  • Absolutely loved it! Bravo!

  • very,very awesome :D

i'd just like to say that the young man really reminded me of an early freddy mercury... is it just me?

  • I was a little dissapointed at some off the small jokes, they sort of felt like cheap add-ons. Also the ending was a little predictable for me. I did like the direction though, quite a bit; and I can't help but like the grandma. All in all it wasn't bad, I liked it.

  • Not so. I'm straight as an arrow, but I loved it anyway.

  • It was a good movie. The main character was overacting in a little bit of it but I still liked him. If I were the grandma, I'd be more crushed that he wasn't on the dean's list :)

  • This little movie is beautiful. I didn't want it to end.

  • The Acting is Really Scripted and it seems kinda cheesy ...

  • THAT- was brilliant!!!

  • Initially a grandmother is upset to find out her beloved grandson is gay, but in the end, she loves him anyway. Does it really take ten minutes to get a single, overdone message across?

  • wonderful!

  • im scared

  • dumb.

  • That was really cute, it was nice to watch

  • i believe that love is just love it does not have anything to do with science or religion

  • if only it's always this way.

  • "not that amy angelbirg, you need a girl who knows how to stay quiet, those angelbirgs, driving the boys away" haha its a very clever script. loved it

  • Great video! Loved watching this very touching video based on the amazing story from Eddie Sarfaty who was a guest on my show!

  • The actor is cute, but he's so annoyinggg

  • thats such a beautiful story

  • The parents have that generic whiney jewish accent (yes i am a jew so i can talk) yeah i have it too kinda...great film though.

  • That was freakin' funny!

  • great! its a wonderful story

  • cute

  • That was really good. People can change :).

  • My favorite line: "He can't come to the phone; he's telling Grandma that he's gay."

I love the grandma. Examples: "So you just jack each other off?" "Yes, it's disgusting. It says some of the parents don't love their children any more."

    Love this.

  • GREAT VIDEO!

  • This was very good. Where in Jersey City was this shot? Downtown?

  • just discovered this channel, love the grandma, and the mother was great, lets face, they all were really good. now watching the rest of them, oh well , thats my saturday gone. lol

  • I loved it and I'm a 48 year old atheist and straight.

  • whats does being athiest have to do withthis?

  • GREAT VIDEO!

  • Very well made! Interesting, you should produce a series of 10 minute short stories :)

  • WOW boring......not one good part and really bad acting.

  • Thanks for this - heartwarming, particularly at this time of year! Best, C

  • I love this video. Very, very nice

  • Keep your religion shit to yourself, people can be who they want to be. If we're going to hell or not, we're going to enjoy our time on earth while we still can.

  • Shorts and webi-sodes are big right now. I know a lot of people in the industry are gearing towards the internet more and more for obvious reasons. 1200 or something people have viewed this already.

  • what did she say in 8:16??

I didn't get the deal with "that's disgusting" thing. What was disgusting?

  • Pretty good vid. I guess I'm behind in the indie realm...didn't know people were producing 10 min. short stories now...

  • word

  • hahaha i wouldve called that

  • Loved Grandma (Kathleen Chalfont), liked the parents...HATED THE KID.

  • Agreed! The guy playing the grandson was WAY out of his league.

  • If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. There's no reason to slam someone who's done no harm. You don't have to write everything you think. Words can hurt!

  • Very Well Made.

  • Loved it so much!

  • lol good perspective

  • For an Indie this isn't that bad. Acting could be a tad better. Four Stars.

  • i agree, though i think the only one that wasn't convincing at all was the main character...just seemed like he was...acting!

  • Simple, dead pan humor. Great. I really don't see the big deal, so what if he's gay. Less competition guys. Think about that for awhile.

    Good Video, 4 star.

  • I respectfully disagree with the prevalent point of view here. I've found that many people who defend homosexuality are also against incest, polygamy, bestiality, inter-generational relations, etc. Why the preferential treatment?

Here in the States, you can have an opinion. Some people find homosexuality disturbing, and there is nothing wrong with that. To label those who disagree with the gay way of life "bigots" is the apex of hypocritical bigotry.

  • While it's okay to hold opinions, opinions still bring about biased actions that pretty much end in discriminatory decisions.

I'm fine with people disagreeing, but when they harm others with actions or words, it becomes serious.

  • Harm others w/ words? How do you do that, shout really loudly?

  • Wow, that was very nice. Great job. -silence day is my kind of day-

  • Can I have 10 min. of my life back?

  • What, you watched all ten minutes just so you could say that, dumbass? Get over yourself, you must've enjoyed it. I did.

  • I liked this. i believe that family should always know who you are in order to truely love you.

  • I'm with Jake on this. If you live America, it's called tolerance. Stop trying to "save" everyone. Prop 8 is BS because religion has no place in our government. Why not deal with issues that actually matter like our collapsing economy instead of worrying about whether two men who love each other are allowed to be married in the eyes of the law.

  • Congratulations Shawn and Eddie! Truthful and funny work from the whole cast. It's beautifully shot and directed! Everyone should be very proud!

  • I respect peoples opnions, but why no gay rights? I dont think because someone is Gay , is wrong or immoral, i wouldnt care at all. also whats with the thing about guys with short hair and girls with long hair. Does it freaking matter?

  • Powerful Film!

  • Excellent and beautiful film. Loved it.

  • i can't believe i wasted 10 minutes of my precious life watching that dumbass bullshit i feel 10 minutes stupider

  • I wont disagree with you being stupid.

  • wahhh im gay no one understands me!!..who cares

  • Ewwy.. Agreed Jnpotters!

  • It's nice to hear some optimism for once."Can't we all just get along". hahaha

  • Beautiful and heart warming. People will surprise you. To the more vocal minority of hate mongers, hear this: "Hate is NOT a family value". More families than you know embrace their gay and lesbian family members. Kudos to the people who produced this short.

  • Maybe they need allah, Buddha or simply themselves. I think you are as lost as you consider me to be. I am not judgemental, predjudice or unkind, I embrase my fellow mankind unconditionally and whole heartedly. I am not even a christian...go figure.

  • My first message on here was of the highest regards. I thought the film was well made, the actors, the script, wardrobe, set and cinematography, were great as well. It wasn't until after my 1st post did I get in many heated debates with the closed minded individuals.

  • I love the hypocrisy here. Why is it taboo for men yet not for women. Personally, there is nothing wrong with being gay it is natural and has been around since the beginning of time and you can NOT change it. Prejudice is never ok.

  • Huh...I thought this would be a comedy...

  • it's not?

  • Lenny, arnt you supposed to be an example and to be like christ. Here's some words to ponder; rim job, hand job, black whole, top/bottom, chocolate stick, creamsicle, blow job, pounding the spokes, want more? I figure if I gross you out maybe you'll go away. Thanks for giving me the ambition to work harder for gay rights.

  • ''So you just jack each other off?''

    HAHa lmao

    great vid <3

    gay and pride baby!

  • Guess I stumped the masses! Hahaha

  • Great JOB....

  • Do you think there would be this much controvery if we were watching two hot playmates making out...NOPE!!!

  • Ok you christians have beat your point to the ground...we got it! So how about you turn off the video within the first 30 seconds when you realize the topic is about gay people and pray that you be more like christ and keep the slander to yourself.

  • Great story. As a Catholic, and mother of 3 young boys, I know what my response would be if any of them came home and told us he was gay...

"Bring your loved one here for dinner, I love you, how was work today?"

For all of you throwing stones here, be careful of those glass houses you live in.

If you claim to know the Bible so well, it states that presumption, (Man's knowing what God feels or thinks), is the worst kind of "sin" there is!

Jesus said to "LOVE the Sinner, NOT the sin."

  • This country was based on Christian values, the vast majority STILL believes in them but won't admit it due to militant backlash from GLAAD and the like). So go be gay and be happy, but don't make the 80% of this country that doesn't care for it have you flaunt it in our faces. Go about your life with quiet dignity. If you choose not to, then don't be upset if we don't support you because we believe it's a mortal sin or because we think you're lunatics BECAUSE YOU KEEP ACTING LIKE ONE!

  • I understand that this topic, for many people, has a lot to do with religion. So no matter which religion is more strict, or which one is more open, or which one sends you straight to hell for the smallest of deeds, they all teach to Love your fellow man. That means to find a way to accept everyone. Compassion can be learned or unlearned, that is up to YOU

  • why cant a christian have the same right of freedom of speech as everyone else. seriously grow up we do live in a changing world but why dose everyone always have to be so dramatic get over yourselves. we have far greater problems in this world than gay rights just turn on your TV people feel like gay people are the victim tell that to the child that has to live in foster care and people just don't give a damn about important things anymore.

  • so true..=]

  • Then quit acting like gay's are only victims, and Christians are the only ones that killed/kill people in the name of a god/gods and persecute gays. It's worst off in the majority of other counties in the world where they still publicly stone/hang gays/people of different opinions.

  • Wow how exciting we even have commercials on here now! I love a fiesty debate with commercial breaks I just can't get enough of them at home.

  • Honestly after watching a movie that made me feel warm and fuzzy inside then to read countless comments condemning these people to hell calling them fags and other derogitory things makes me simply embarrised to be a part of the human race! I thought this was the 20th fu÷=ing century. If all these closed minded people are going to heaven well I'd rather go to hell because it's right here on earth!

  • Not vindictive. I don't mind if people are unreasonably dogmatic about their beliefs as long as they don't leave all the great teachings, writings and literature unscathed. I believe in energy and science and the constant quest for knowledge. To me the mind is the soul.

  • Hundreds of millions in less than a 1000 years...NO WAY! Not on multiple continents. I am very aware of my history. Even around 500 years BCE socrates, plato and other great scholars were discussing such subjects, yet they kept an open mind.

  • Just a tad bit of information here for you ginger...

Nobody really cares what people did in the past. We care about now.

I really have no clue why you persist to include the history of christians (if any of it is even true) in you're vindictive comments.

  • Ginger, I think you will find it impossible to find any group of people, even one person, who has not wronged someone by action or inaction. There are Christians who have lived nobly and sacrificially in their lives as well, though you may not happen to know any, and even these people had their own faults. No one is completely good, nor is anyone beyond saving. All this, in my mind, only evidences why we need Christ as savior. Hope this makes sense to you somehow.

  • And last but not least, many protestants were involved in the trans atlantic slave trades where countless innocent people so cruelly lost their lives.... on the trip alone! Then our founding fore fathers (again believers in christ) owned slaves themselves. Then we had the good ole salem witch trials which caused many helpless people lose there lives by guess who????

  • why is everyone so against gay people

  • My spelling on the last comment is atrocious.

  • this guy looks a lot like freddy mercury.

  • For the record GMTM, not only am I a heterosexual woman but I'm also NOT a christian. I'm also very involved in the gay rights movement and I voted no on prop 8. It is a well known fact that people are BORN gay and God (the omnipresense) never ever makes mistakes.

  • a little mawkish but a nice short all the same.

  • PART 4. ...Identity? That time in our lives when we cast away the shell of our childhood. I don't know. I don't think it is a selfish struggle to be different, at least for me. Before the drama of highschool and living up to anyone elses expectations came in to the picture I was already curious about the cock. I am NOT a gay person trying to shove an opinion down anothers throat. I have always felt different than everyone else, but I don't think that sexuality is its outlet...

  • PART 3. ...I can see that a woman is pretty, a beauty even, but that she is drop dead gorgeous...NO. The attraction isn't there. I have questioned myself about femininity and no, I guess I couldn't feel like a woman. My dad wasn't there for me after I was 12, but I think that was ample time in my life to put the footprint there. We never talked about girls or sex. I have found men attractive on the other hand. In my search for identity, which we all go through, could it be just that?...

  • I think the choice we makes is to be honest with ourselves instead of living a lie and fighting our feelings everyday for the rest of our lives. Being gay is natural, and you see it in nature all the time. I've heard people say "Just stop being gay" and I'm think. "I wanna see you try to 'stop' being straight. Or how do you know you like guys for sure if you've never been with a girl. -I can say the same to you.- It's not a choice, it;s life. Maybe god put us here to test us all, can we love?

  • everyone is way too sassy. this is fuckin funny. lighten up

  • Is that the best you can do. I know a lot about christians. I have a bachelors in theology a minor in philosophy, I have 6 preachers in my family and my uncle started the largest church in the Philippines that now has close to 4,000 members.

  • "I have two hands!"

"So you're going to jerk with each other?"

Lmao. Funniest script in the film.

  • PART 1. I am a guy who has concidered himself gay at one point or another throughout his lifetime. I'll probably be the most honest in what I'm about to say too: I question it constantly. I know for a fact that no one chooses to be gay. We are not given options like in a candy store (the RED or GREEN sucker). We, like all people, may choose to have the intercoarse, but definately not the orientation. I know for a fact it is not a pschological disorder and if I ever decided to be with a woman..

  • nice job

  • Yay Eddie and Bob, nice work, lookit all the views!!!! Mazel tov!

  • 0:27<---LMAO

  • that's realy good movie for the peoples who want to tell their family and friends about their way of life. well done

  • Extremely well-done!

  • intense film.

  • The truth is that you should not judge people...no matter what.

  • "We cloak ourselves in cold indifference to the unnecessary suffering of others...even when we cause it". James Carroll. I hope the closed minded people can grasp this concept.

  • If you feel that choice is not the answer, then how do you explain bisexuals? Your DNA explanation is crap.

  • That was great. I loved the grandma. I didn't know that is was going to be about coming out. It was well done. And for those of you that argue that being gay is a choice read a book and educate yourself beyond that of a immature highschool student. YOU ARE CHOOSING to be IGNORANT and closed-minded and the world would be better off without you type of hatful people in it.

  • Great work guys!

  • Great short. Nicely shot. And the dialogue is pretty clever at times. I particularly like the line about clearing up the confusion on going to hell. Keep it up!

  • i want to direct this towards everyone who posted and will post a comment about gayness being a choice. it is not a choice. it IS a biological matter. if you so choose, you can look this up and further educate yourself so as not to sound like an uneducated buffoon.

  • It's a choice. No matter how badly you want it to be otherwise, the reality is, you have a choice in what acts you participate in.

  • I thought it was interesting , actualy i could have watched it for more then an hour . The acting was great and so was the plot and the message ofc . All in all i give it an 8 out of 10 . :)

  • how is it not normal to love someone?? and im sorry but being gay is a far cry from being a pedophile, and if you can't understand how than you my friend are part of the problem.

  • I think alot of you have it all twisted up. I'm bi sexual, and if i could be straight, i would. Most gay people would tell you that. being straight is so much easier. You never choose to be gay. Your born the way you are.

  • Very Bored! * STAR

  • Don't say bored, because no one cares and because it hasn't got anything to do with quality
