@geeknerd99 The ball that dropped through the basket before EJ's shot came from a different angle and dropped through at that angle. Then EJ's shot dropped straight down from its arc through the basket. Swish. Then everyone reacted--especially EJ. EJ had was on a perfect line to the basket, and his ball followed an arc along that line It was important for him to put enough power into the shot for it to reach the basket without hitting the rim and bouncing off. Give him credit!

@MaxCreditScore I understand why you wouldn't trust a video like this, I have a hard time doing that too, but look at all the other players' reactions. Especially #23 standing at mid court (head following the arc of the ball) and the guy who is right under the basket (ducks his head after hearing the noise of the ball hitting the rim). Both seem like legitimate reactions to a real, unexpected shot. It's not like EJ was like, "Hey everybody, check this out!" He just threw it up.
