  • Really good video. I too am making my own saunda now, approx 5m3 in volume. I plan to use a 6KW Helo heater and have a glass door much the same as yours. What wood did you use for the walls / ceilings and benches. I also hear I need to fit air inlets and a sperate outlet? Is that right?

  • @rjhand99 The wood is Ash. You don't want to choose wood with sap, like a pine tree. Sap + heat = sticky and messy. Yes, separate outlets are standard and good. Inlet should be low. I used the gap under my glass door and close to the heater. Outlet should be high and on opposite side if possible. My outlet is not ideal with it positioned on the same side as inlet but any other way was too much work.

  • great vid!

  • Thats amazing ... What did somthing like this cost ? Im considering one

  • why is sauna inside?

  • @oksanenjason - City does not allow me to build on the sidewalk.

  • @oksanenjason so what , modern european house has a sauna inside...like i do.

  • That is beautiful! Very neat work by the 2 guys. Wish I had one like that.

  • how can people put a lil space heater in a closet and call it a sauna. thats no more a sauna than my outhouse is a hight tec. bathroom

  • Fourth: Size of kiuas: The one in the clip appears far too big for this sauna. (No, setting it on "Low" wont help.) Right size is everything - not too big and definatelly not too small.

In addition: The vent on the sealing is for drying the sauna after use, not during.

But a looker this one is :)

    Very Nice craftsmanship.

If the air thing works somehow and you're very carefull not to burn yourself or the sauna itself, this might be a good sauna indeed.

    Recommend google: "sunsauna.fi".

  • @TeeTeeKoffee - stove is a Narvi Nova 6 kw. excellent! Thank you for your comments TeeTeeKoffee!

  • First: The stowe .."kiuas" needs a protective barrier so you won't burn yourself.

Second: It needs to be a safe distance from the wall, or a firewall - it really is hot, it might heat up the wall to a point of wood panel to ignite.

Third: The air (ventilation) : Air needs to come in the sauna from a vent just above the kiuas so that when the air heats in kiuas, it rises up and draws air from the vent. Can also be at the side of kiuas, just as long as the fresh air mixes with the rising hot air.

  • @TeeTeeKoffee - The stove is equipped with a heat shield and you can touch without burning yourself. Distance from wall is fine because of heat shield. You are confused on ventilation. Hot air rises and intake should not be in ceiling. Exhaust vents need to be at least 14" higher than the intake vent. I have a 3 inch gap at the bottom of my door that acts as an intake.

  • well done!

  • Great job! :)

  • I tak jest zbudowana prawdziwa sauna fińska. Podwójne sciany, gruba ocieplina i paroizolacja. Kabina sauny musi spełniać warunki termosu !

Brawo! Super! Polski producent saun gratuluje- DOBRA ROBOTA.

Popatrzcie na chińskie sauny- to odpady boazerii, uklepane w pseudo ścianę, bez ociepliny, bez izolacji- poprostu pudełka a nie sauna. !!! Szkoda pieniedzy i nerwów na tanie podróbki !

  • @wwwsaunalpl, Dziękuję! Pozwolę pracownicy wiedzą, komplement.

  • Nice Sauna! May I ask how much it cost to get those 2 men to build it?

  • @ericwhithr2007 - 3800 Euros

  • wow great job!

  • Really perfect job.

  • WOW! Love it! Well done.

I am planing to make mine soon, but is it ok to have glass door for a sauna room! and is it ok to keep the ceramic floor? I mean no need for wooden panels?

  • Glass doors are made of tempered glass so they are perfect. And you can see out it. Wooden door knob will make sure you don't burn yourself. Ceramic floor works fine for me as it is easy to clean but colder to the touch than wood. Why would you need a wood floor?

  • By the way great JOB!!

    :DDD

  • Thanks, but I hired two very skilled workmen. No sketches, only and empty space, wood and a saw. Good luck! It is worth it!

  • Where can I find some sketches or whatever ??

I dream off making One of my Own :)))

  • very nice. enjoy
